The big news may center around the big guys - HTC, Samsung, and LG, for example - but lesser known manufacturers like Huawei are making some high-end handsets. The Huawei Ascend P1 is one of those, and it offers a 1.5 GHz dual-core CPU, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display (with 540x960 pixels), 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording, a front-facing camera, and Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with some minor UI changes. It's a nice device that would fit perfectly into a US carrier's mid-range lineup.
