Profit numbers be darned, because HTC is fighting hard with their newest smartphone, the HTC One. It's absolutely beautiful, the specs are fantastic, and it's intended to compete with phones from Apple, Samsung, LG, and more. Featuring a 1.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 CPU, HTC One has a 4.7-inch 1080p HD display, 2 GB of RAM, 2,300 mAh battery, 32 GB of internal storage (there's a 64 GB version as well), Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 5. It offers new features like BlinkFeed, HTC Zoe, and UltraPixels (HTC's throwing out the traditional megapixel count).
It's the most excited I've been about an Android phone in some time because the HTC One is bringing HTC up to new levels. It's solid proof that you can have an incredibly designed Android phone, but despite that, the real challenge is going to be competing against Apple and Samsung's incredibly well-funded marketing departments. Carrier partnerships and marketing will make or break this awesome Android smartphone.
