Beau HD gives us his 12 reasons why the Apple iPhone 6 Plus is better than the Google Nexus 6. The iPhone 6 Plus has an aluminum build, 5.5-inch 1920x1080 display, a dual-core 1.4GHz processor, and iOS 8. The Nexus 6 features a 5.96-inch 2560x1440 AMOLED display, 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, and Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Reason #1: More color accurate display
The iPhone 6 Plus display is more color accurate than the Nexus 6. The retina HD display comes with a full sRGB color standard with a higher contrast, brightness and white balance. In addition, it has dual-domain pixels to enable color accuracy no matter what angle you view the display at. So movies and photos stay true to color, even when viewing them from wider angles.
Reason #2: Thinner
The iPhone 6 Plus is thinner Nexus 6. In terms of thickness, it measures in at just 7.1mm thick while the Nexus 6 measures in at 10.1 mm thick at it’s thickest point. This helps it fit better in your pocket and it can help you reach more of the display with one hand since the entire device sits flatter in your hand.
Reason #3: Lighter
The iPhone 6 Plus is lighter than the Nexus 6. The iPhone 6 Plus weighs 173 grams as opposed to the 184 grams of the Nexus 6 so it will feel less minimal in your pocket or your hand when you are using the device.
Reason #4: Better build quality
The iPhone 6 Plus is made with more premium build materials, it has a better build quality as it is made with a smooth aluminum unibody design. The Nexus 6 does have an aluminum frame around the entire device, however the back cover is still plastic.
Reason #5: Better camera
The iPhone 6 Plus can capture higher quality images than the Nexus 6. While the Nexus 6 has a higher megapixel camera that allows you to zoom into an image and retain more quality, the iPhone 6 Plus can capture better looking amazing in a wide range of scenarios. It has optical image stabilization, and does a good job capturing higher quality images in low light, indoors, as well as outdoors.
Reason #6: Better slow motion video
The iPhone 6 Plus can capture better slow motion video. While the Nexus 6 can capture higher quality video in 4K UHD, the iPhone 6 Plus can capture better slow motion video at 240 fps.
Reason #7: Touch ID
The iPhone 6 Plus has touch ID, which is essentially just a fingerprint scanner built into the home button. You can register up to five fingers to work with Touch ID. All you have to do is place your finger on the home button and just like that your iPhone unlocks. Touch ID is capable of 360 degree readability which means no matter what its orientation, the iPhone 6 Plus will be able to read your fingerprint.
Reason #8: More intuitive interface
The iPhone 6 Plus has the most intuitive user interface available: iOS 8. It’s simple and it just works. All your apps will be present on the homescreen, there’s a settings menu to manage various controls, and there’s a couple drop down menus one for the notification center that slides down from the top and one menu that displays the control center to get access to various quick settings which slides in from the bottom. The software running on the iPhone 6 Plus has been around longer than the software found on the Nexus 6 and is generally better for the majority of the population due to it’s simple and intuitive user interface that has remained constant throughout the years.
Reason #9: iMessage
The iPhone 6 Plus has iMessage. Compared to the barebones Google Messenger application found on the Nexus 6, the iMessage app found on the iPhone 6 Plus is much more feature packed. For example, group messaging, audio messaging, and WiFi messaging are all present here and are baked into the stock Messages application on the iPhone 6 Plus.
Reason #10: Faster single core performance
The iPhone 6 Plus has faster single core performance than the Nexus 6. While the iPhone 6 Plus does only have a dual core processor, the single core performance is better than the Nexus 6’s single core performance even though it does have a quad-core processor.
Reason #11: Better battery life
The iPhone 6 Plus has better battery life. While the Nexus 6 has a 3220 mAh battery and the iPhone 6 Plus has a 2915 mAh battery, the iPhone 6 Plus does have better battery life. With a full charge, you can get almost 14 hours of screen on time compared to the 8 hours of battery life on the Nexus 6.
Reason #12: Better one-handed usability
The iPhone 6 Plus has better one-handed usability. Both devices are large especially for one hand, but the iPhone 6 Plus does allow you to double tap the home button to bring the screen down so that you can access it with one hand. The Nexus 6 on the other hand doesn’t have any software tricks to help with one handed usability
