So ridiculous when sprint charges you so much. i switch to unlimited and bill was 427$ monthly for 5 phone. Then i switch to 3gbs to be shared between 5 phones and i get a bill for 491$. I ask how much it will be to shut all phones off and they tell me 1300$. It is so much because I lease the phones. So i say, I get to keep the phones if I pay the lease amount to shut phones off, she tells me no, you will have to pay another 199.00 for each phone to keep it. If I am paying the rest of the lease payments off, why can I not keep the phones? But if i keep my service and pay the rest of payments pff then i can keep it. They are ridiculous and seriously rob people! The lady I talked to was rude and I did not even understand her half the time! Sprint get your shit together!!
My experience was positive. I did a lot of looking around for a company who presented themselves to my satisfaction through their website. I also made many calls of inquiry. At this point I am satisfied that my research and instinct payed off. This is a high bar to meet so I hope this company can maintain these qualities for the long haul.
I'm super pleased with your CS and is much better than my former carrier. They used service tickets and 3 days to a week later you might get a response. My wife and niece are next to join Tello, I'm the Ginny pig. Your PAY AS YOU GO CREDIT is the main reason I went with Tello. 6 months to use up your minutes or until you run out and then auto top up at $2 for a 5.10,20 and 50 dollar plan. That's unheard of for a small user and why we left Virgin Mobil. Keep up the great work and they say customer service is gone, you just proved the Nay Sayers wrong. Thanks again Bill
Sprint is by far the worst phone company I have ever had. They do not value their customers and will not work with you. I have two phone lines and one of the phones were stolen. So it was up for an upgrade and I went to the store to get a new phone then told me that because I did not have my stolen phone that I could not get the upgrade without paying over $200. I then upgraded my other phone line and spent $300 dollars and figured I would contact asurion for the stolen phone. When I contacted asurion I asked if they could add the deductible of $200 to my phone bill which I've done numerous times before. Asurion insurance then stated that sprint is the only one who can approve that. I then waited for 45 minutes and explained this to a rep then supervisor and manager in which none of them could help. My account is not past due delinquent or anything and still nothing to accommodate me seeing I just spent 300$ on another line. I am definitely switching from them they are by far the worst phone company
I worked with two agents as I needed to call back and they were both wonderful and so helpful! I know one of their names was Oscar so please tell him for me how great he was! Thank you!
Sprint honesty sucks! I am in a two year contract with them and I can not wait to get out of it. I have unlimited everything, paying almost $100.00 every month and I don't have service any where I go. I have to be on wifi every where I go just to be able to go on the internet. The moment I'm out of wifi, I can not do anything regarding the internet. It gets me so aggravated because I'm paying double for sprint when I had cricket before and I didn't even need wifi to have service! Blows my mind. I tried to at least get my bill lowered and instead of doing it, they kept talking me out of it. Super annoyed with them, would NOT recommend.
I was a little exceptical about this company at first,I was an ringplus customer but since the company is closing I was desperately looking for a new cell provider, then I came across tello,is great that you can choose your own plan, customize your plan or pay as you go with 3 cents USA calls rates.in my case iam interested in unlimited calling since I use an free android app for texting,so I choosed the $15 unlimited calling plan without texts or data, instead I use WiFi for my internet needs.solo all I pay is $15 plus 2 dollars and something for taxes but is a great deal since you can customize your plan needs, for those with texting needs unlimited texting is available for only $3 so really you can pick your plan at your way.I was paying $35 with other companies in the past but now I really save money.other good thing is you can use your own sprint, boost mobile, virgin mobile approved smartphone even they have their own bring your own device check tool that is very helpful for checking your phone before selecting your plan.in my case I had ported 2 cell numbers to tello and in less than fifteen minutes the porting have been successfully and the programming instructions easy to understand.iam amazed with tello.keep going tello
I have been a Motorola fan from the 90's, i always think that Motorola makes excellent product and that is why i stick with Motorola. When Motorola came out with this particular model, i thought wow! they have done it.This is an amazing product,i love it from the fist day i go it out of the box.I think i can keep it longer than 4 years before i change it.
I want to start out by saying I am not the type of person who writes reviews on every interaction or experience I encounter. However, I feel compelled to write a review about Sprint in hopes that I may sway potential customers to stay far, far, far away. I bought a phone/plan in December 2014. The phone was on lease, which was a terrible idea on my part. I made payments on the device for 24 months and when the cost of the phone was paid in FULL in Dec 2016, I was notified by Sprint that I'd need to pay an additional $200 to keep the phone. This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of? Essentially, since the phone was "on lease" I was paying to temporarily borrow the phone, which is how normal leases work, but this is NOT WHAT THE REP TOLD US AT TIME OF PURCHASE. I would have never decided to lease if I knew the phone would end up costing more than retail price. Why not just be upfront and honest about future costs? If this had been communicated to me at the beginning, I would have opted for the purchasing payment plan - not the lease. Many times during our contract, unexpected & ridiculous costs were added to our monthly bill. I constantly had to call and question what these charges were for and I was talked down to, disrespected, and made feel stupid by the person on the other end of the line more than once. They're customer service is by far the worst I've ever had to deal with and I'm not just talking about phone service industry - I mean the worst of the worst I've EVER dealt with. Moving on, I decided to switch providers because why wouldn't I? Only someone who wasn't in their right mind would put up with this type of subpar customer service and subpar phone service. It was a nightmare getting in touch with Sprint in order to get them to unlock my phone number so that it could be ported to another phone/provider (Verizon). All in all, a call that should have been no more than half an hour lasted almost 4 hours. Once this was completed, I was able to successfully transfer my number to Verizon (Thank God). Now that I have switched over, I've been trying to return the phone that had been leased. The first attempt I made, I was told I needed to fix the 2 cm screen crack on my phone. Fine. It was tiny, but that's understandable. I went to another store and got the phone fixed. I went back to Sprint, and then was told that they'd need my Apple ID password in order to accept the device. This was frustrating, because I did not remember the password, which is my own fault. However, the rep at the store could have made this known the FIRST TIME I was there and told to get the screen fixed. So I return to the store for the 3rd time with a repaired screen and apple password and was told that the location I was at did not accept devices. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Now I will need to make a 4th trip to a hell of a Sprint store to get this over and done with. I have never been more excited for a break-up. They are the worst. Stay Away!!!
I rarely make voice calls and do only minimal text messaging. I'm usually within range of wifi service, but I wanted to finally upgrade my pay-per-minute dumb phone to something smarter, mostly for some data access while away from home and the occasional voice or SMS message. So I didn't want some monthly plan that would cost a lot for a bunch of voice minutes I'm never going to use. Tello had very good plan options and low-cost per-minute and per-MB rates. I chose the "bring your own phone" setup and bought an unlocked Motorola G4 Play (Android). Then I ordered a SIM card and a pay-as-you-go balance of $20. Installing the SIM card and activating the phone on the cell network via Tello's website was a piece of cake. Then I called Tello to port my existing dumb-phone number to the new phone. The service agent was very helpful and friendly, and my old number was ported without any problems (I think I called on a Friday, and it did take a couple of "business" days to complete the process). I've only been on Tello for a few weeks now, but I'm quite happy with everything so far. The pay-as-you-go data plan suits my needs very well, and after fiddling with some Android settings to reduce cell-network background data usage, I think I can probably go several months at a time before topping up my balance. I deducted one star for service quality only because I don't know how the Sprint coverage will be outside my home area (NY metro area).
I just joined a few days ago, with idea of possibly retrieving a phone number from a former provider Tello contacted me quickly by email that I gave them incorrect information, that phone was not associated with that number, but number was available. Spoke to a support rep the next day, and despite the complication of the issue, he calmly worked through it, and with escalation to another support level, I was able to port my old number to another unlocked phone. In addition to this, the tello app can be used with wifi alone to make calls, and you can see your usage. The phone quality is excellent, unlike the mvno I ported from. So I very much recommend this company as a Sprint service provider.
My first cell phone (3 months now)--Tello had to teach me everything about mobile phones. Tello responds reliably and quickly at ALL times; importantly, the information is CORRECT AND HELPFUL. Compared to other merchants, this is the best support I have seen.
I just learned of Tello recently to accommodate a phone plan for my father who needs unlimited talk and text, but no data. I'm blown away by the configuration Tello offers, the low prices, and the AMAZING customer support. No other carrier has a competing plan that doesn't use data. The website is super easy to use, the FAQ is thorough, and again, the customer service is just outstanding. Very pleased with Tello and their team. Return policy is top notch, and they have a decent selection of phones to choose from unlocked or they support bring your own device. My only feedback is that I'd like to see a better "Activity" log when logged into their web portal. Thank you! Will be an avid customer and might move my own plan over.
My phone suddenly was not making outgoing calls, and all of my texts failed. Because of that, I couldn't call customer service, so I sent an email. I very much appreciated that the customer service rep actually read my email, tried to leave a voice message to check if I could receive any calls and then sent an email informing me that, no, I could not receive calls in addition to being unable to make them, and also gave me the information that I needed to restart my service. And even though my response was via email, it came in just a few hours - very prompt!
Don't know why this phone isn't in the best phones of the year. I bought this phone because I was looking for an alternative to the note 7(best phone ever). So, the v20 is a great phone, I love the camera and the settings. You glide in the v20! It's fast and you can play your games without any glith. I think this phone needs to be more appreciated and in the best smartphones list of 2016.
The last expensive most flexible phone plans. Also very good customer service. I have had Tello for a few months now and have been very happy. The only downside is the Sprint network which can be limited depending on your area.
I already recommended Tello to two people yesterday, based on rates, and on customer service, and no penalty fees for late payment, and on the fact that I called their customer service and somebody answered right away, I waited no longer than a minute.
What can I say? I've had several cell phones over the years going back as far as the late 80s both for business and for personal use. Sometimes I had no choice which cell service I could use because the company I worked for determined that. For my personal use of course I selected the carrier. I've experienced quite a range of carriers and levels of service. After being on Tello now for almost a year I can attest to the fact that Tello has the best customer service I have had the pleasure to encounter. My wife and I have two lines with Tello and we both enjoy the same quality of phone clarity and performance that we had with our prior Sprint accounts while the cost has been reduced by almost 75%. If there is one thing that stands out to me about Tello, it is their customer service. It is far and away the best I've experienced with any of the phone services I've used. I looked far and wide for less expensive but quality phone service and picked Tello after after a lot of research. Easy to setup and adjust your levels anytime you wish, extremely competitive pricing, an stellar customer service. You won't be disappointed with Tello. John B.
I've been using Tello for about 6 months now - I switched from Sprint because I didn't want to pay $50 per month anymore. I've been really happy with Tello - the prices are reasonably priced, there are no hidden fees, and the customer service has been great. Worth checking out!
I use a basic flip phone and wanted the cheapest plan I could find. Tello is the only service I have found with such an incredible rate. I paid only 8 dollars for my phone bill this month and that gave me unlimited texting with 200 minutes of talk time. So far the minutes are plenty and I can always get more later for just a small amount more on my bill. I am overly impressed. AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS BEEN SUPER!!! I am very excited to see this group take off and help a lot of people out with affordable phone plans! -Ben in New Mexico
