Great price for phone service. No frills, just phone service. I don't use my phone for playing games or music or internet. I only wanted a phone to start with and this is what I pay for. Love it.
The good: the ONLY carrier that has unlimited minutes, anytime, anywhere! I have 2 children in college and these are our only phones. No surprises. Monthly bill is always the same! Never had issues with customer service that other carriers don't also have. Reception is great. Not so many fancy phones? I want a PHONE. their phones are high quality.
The bad: cellphones are simply not as good as landlines. It's a choice.
Summary: i recommend this carrier to the people whose children text, talk and surf the internet. Even calling Italy hasn't been a disaster! But if you need the iPhone, then this isn't for you.
The good: good service most of the time but disappointed about not getting a few extra minutes
The bad: No extra minutes when I needed them during an family emergency I use to be able to pay my bill by phone and now I ahve to remember to mail.
Summary: I recently asked for a few extra minutes and was turned down. The customer service reps are usually very helpful and easy to talk with
The good: Music player!!!!
The bad: Nothing!! I liked everything about it!!
Summary: I would like to have this phone's babies!! They would be the slimist most wonderful babies in the world!!
I really like the features that the 2865 provides. It is very strange that the phone while talking for 1 hour time will shut itself down (not off). I can redial the person that I was speaking with, speak 1 hour (extactly) and the phone will shut itself down again. I can not find where anyone else has experince this problem.
The good: Uses GSM and CDMA networks.(my daughter went to college in small town and only CDMA worked)
The bad: No iphone service
Summary: Use internet site.
Double min card.
Will port phone number from old carrier.
No min monthly fee.
Minuites not used will roll over.
No misc tax on bill like monthly plan.
Having been a customer of all the "big" carriers, T-Mobile has proven to be the best of the group. Every cell provider has issues, but few have the customer service in place to assist with these in a timely manner.
In addition, their plans are by far the most reasonable, with a flexibility not commonly found in this industry.
The good: I have gotten the Helio Ocean!! It can download pictures video's the works.. I can even use Aol and Yahoo or Msn Live instant messengers with ease along with it has a quertery key board. with being able to check my regualar email! Very slick design Very customizable...
The bad: My Ocean has a mind of its own sometimes and just turns itself on or off even with battery strengh really good.. I hope its just a bad battery or perhaps phone and they are not all like this.. I love the phone and its a lot of fun.. The voulme on the Music player could be a little louder.. Signal strengh in my house is about a one to two bars (could be stronger ) even though the company says its one of the best coverage areas via its website. If u want to store more then 20 songs or transfer a d
Summary: A Well designed phone that is a lot of fun even has a customized My Space page! ( to manage ur myspace from) I could go with better Signal Strengh and my phone not having a mind of its own Im sure they are not all like that... Has the most features for a phone of this type
The good: I think the phone is very easy to use, small and feature packed.
The bad: Navigation pad needs to be a little bigger. I have large fingers and in the beginning found it hard to scroll, but after two days, I won tha battle.
Summary: I have been a devoted Sanyo customer owning over 15 in the past 9 years. I have had only one Samsung phone in my life, and that was the A640. I was SO disappointed with the quality of that phone, I swore off Samsung. That was in December of 2006. When Sprint announced the Upstage I was leary on getting one. I was leaning towards the Sanyo M1. Weel, Sprint decided to discontinue the M1, so the Upstage crossed my mind again. I purchaed one, and so far, have not had any problems that I have seen in reviews of the M620.
There are very few cons to this phone. Once in a while I find that the Env likes to call my friends without my permisson, or suddenly burst into song in my pocket. Most of the time this can all be avoided by key guard.
The good: Thin, lightweight, looks nice, large display, email video option, red lights on the front, durable
The bad: Poor reception, finger/makeup smudges, flat keys/hard to text message, don't like the flip button for charging - hard to open, I have to use a knife everytime, ring volume is not very loud and the ring tones selection is minimal, speaker phone not very loud or clear, buttons on the side are not user friendly, if you text message and talk on it a lot, the battery will die on the second day without charging it, also when the battery does die, there is about a 10 second warning sound and about the
Summary: I am undecided about this phone. I have only had it for four months and I am considering either buyin a new phone or going back to my old LG phone. I bought this phone because my best friend has one and had it for six months before I got mine and liked it. When we talk to each other, we either get dropped, she can hear me and I can't hear her, or it breaks up a lot. That is very annoying! I like the looks of the phone, but it's kind of nice to be able to have a conversation without interuptions... that's what kids are for! :) I am undecided if I would recommend this phone to somebody or not...
The good: True flat rate unlimited nationwide calling for $74.99/mo. ($75 activation fee for SpeechPhone)
The bad: You won't know what to do with all the money you save.
Summary: Get a basic T-Mobile MyFaves account for $39.99/mo, subscribe to SpeechPhone's MANDi (My Automated Natural Dialog Interface) for $35/mo, add MANDi as one of your MyFaves and tell all your contacts to call MANDi from now on. You'll never touch your t-mobile minutes!
The good: The touch screen has been amazing to use and is so fun to navigate thru the phone. Another cool aspect is turning the phone from portrait to landscape depending on what you are doing. The screen is so vibrant that using the visual voicemail feature is amazing! I have also never used a better Internet browser on any other device. Being able to view youtube videos has been a fun bonus.
The bad: Features that they didn't add that I am missing include video capability and customizable ringtones. When using EDGE, (would be nice if I could use AT&T 3G instead) you cannot make or receive calls. With only an internal battery you have to take the phone in to get fixed if your battery starts to go bad.
Summary: After taking my time to get to know the new Apple iPhone I decided that it was a keeper for me. I have used tons of different smartphones and besides a few cons, this device works.
The good: I get by far the best coverage of any phones i have had,the only one that comes close is verizon.I have a great plan that nobody else can touch.there is only one corner i drop calls in the intire metro and surrounding area.Phone works great nation wide.
The bad: ALL Phones are very outdated.
They don't have any of the new Blackberry's.
No Treo's,blackjack,or any others that are cool.
Summary: Great service Plan at great price with good coverage, but no cool phones
The good: Fast internet, Live Tv more channels than VW, $.99 downloads, Larger digital caverage than VW, Analog roaming was clear as a whistle, unlimited text only 10 p/month, unlimited data is really unlimited vs. VW so called "unlimited data", that limited me to only 5gb worth of downloads per month. Cheaper service than the rest, (2000 more Mins free because of nights at 7 when compared to VW and TM.) Never loose signal and have had the 8200, and 8400, about to buy Katana DLX and travel from Wichita Fa
The bad: The only Cons that I have is that their High Speed Rev A is not here in Wichita falls yet, but is coming in September. The wait on CS is also horrible, but I've only called them once.
Summary: I highly suggest Sprint. If you asked me three years ago I would have said choose someone else, but now that they have improved the CS and coverage; and the prices dropped this wins my recommendation.
The good: Very reliable, has many features that support the phone, and it is pretty.
The bad: NONE that I can think of.
Summary: It is a very trustworthy phone that has many features that make you life, 10 x easier.
The good: Excellent reception & clarity
Excellent design, fit, and finish
Quality 2MP camera (though no flash)
Solid & durable feel
The bad: A little heavy in front pockets
Summary: I bought 4 of these phones a few days ago. I have tried to put them through all the paces that our family needs. This includes primarily voice calls and texting, with some speaker phone use. We have iPods for music and digital cameras for photos, so those were low on our list of priorities, though we tried those features too. We did not use data services. We wanted excellent call reception and durable sleek phones. The LG 8700s are perfect for our family. Concerns of battery life and heat were non issues - a little warm, but still plenty of power after 2 hour call test.
The good: camera, music player, bluetooth, screen
The bad: screen sometimes gets dirty, ringtones limited to 300K
Summary: A great phone, and now that it can play music int he backround as you use the phone for otehr thigns, it is the best phone i have ever had. camera is awsome, call quality is excelent, my first one had camera issues but the new one is doing quite well. popup menus take getting used to but are quite helpful.
The good: Great coverage - even when out of the Metro area. Superior customer service.
The bad: Expensive if you want all the extras and they do block some bluetooth items.
Summary: Verizon has always had excellent service. If there is a problem, one call to customer service solves it all. The voice rate plans are competitive. I don't use all of the data services. When my previous phone had a manufacturers defect, they replaced it with a better model instore. I have been throughout Wisconsin, Missouri, Indiana, and Michigan and rarely am without coverage. When I was billed for roaming minutes (the phone didn't show roaming), Verizon credited the charge immediately without any pushing on my part. I was encouraged to switch by a friend who has used them for over 10 years and since have had nearly all of my family switch over. Compared with AT&T/Cingular, the service and coverage is far superior (my relatives on AT&T have nothing but problems with coverage and billing issues). Plus, when I call I usually get a local Chicago call center and have never had a rep who was hard to understand or was unhelpful. Plus, unlike AT&T, when asked they will give you the name, number, and address of the regional and corporate offices (AT&T will just give you a PO box).
The good: Main screen size and stereo speakers - all nice for a phone of it's size.
The bad: Would've loved it if they extended the main screen to eliminate the black border (giving the screen a widescreen effect). Would love it if I could listen to music on the phone while playing games on the phone.
Summary: Overall experience with this phone has been a pleasant one. Although movies on the phone start to lag in an extreme fashion after about 30 minutes of viewing. Phone also still works fine despite me dropping it at least a hundred times. If your wanting to use the phones mp3 player during the day for at least a couple of hours, invest in the tank-looking extended battery. And I'm still waiting for a bluetooth ear piece that can stream music WIRELESSLY.
