The good: large display,
clear photos,
good sound quality,
service availability is great,
long battery life.
The bad: Speaker and volume buttons on the side are too easily pushed when taking it out of a case,
certain menu options are only able to go "back" a step if you end the application and start completely over (picture-wallpaper).
Summary: Overall, I would say that this is a very good phone. The service availability and multiple services available are great.
The good: Loud phone. mp3 player. popular phone but not worth it.
The bad: Expensive, skinny, flat, easy to break, buttons are stupid and flat. has a ringing noise when u put it close to your ear. if u dont believe me watch listen to it. its like buzz buzz buzz. very annoying. doesnt have flash so if you want a clear pic take it in the light. it doesnt have a lot of memory on the phone itself so u have to get a memory card.
Summary: It was a waste of money only reason i got this phone was because the phone i had before stop making it. so they offered me this phone. only lasted like 7 months. i mean everything worked but out of no where it wouldnt let me read my memory card nor listen to my music. it was the phone because my memory card worked fine on my computer. anyway i got a new phone. my new phone is the kyocera E2000. i rated that one too. i like my new phone.
The good: Lots of extras
The bad: Had it for 3 years now its losing reception.May be the battery.Right now not sure.
Summary: I loved this phone for a while but after a few years its useless cause i cant call out without using roaming. Not sure if the battery is bad but reception has gone down hill.
The good: Very practical phone with; camera, mp3, memory card, sms, internet facilities, not mentioning other many goodies ;)
The bad: Im having a BIG problem, coz mi iTtunes is not working. Is it because i have changed location and sim card or an internal software thing? Could anyone help me plz.
Summary: Above form the iTunes not working at all! I have no other thing to say. The ROKR E1 is a nice piece of technology to handle everyday. ;)
The good: Easy to use. A fun phone. I loved the phone so much my husband and daughter got one.
The bad: All three of us over time experienced the white screen on our cell phones.
Summary: The phone is great while it last, but the screen goes out over time.
The good: Good for people who use less than 500 minutes per month.
The bad: Double Minute Plan with this time would bring more addressability for the card. Should they sell in Wal-Mart. But, have to get on-line
Summary: Tracfone's 450 Minute card should be sold in Wal-Mart because of many Postpaid contract phones want you to spend 500 minutes or $59.99 per month to have a phone. Think thats bad, Sprint wants you to buy at least 450 minutes a month to get a lower price of the phone. If you want a contract with Sprint and want less than 450 minutes per month you have to pay at full MRSP (manufactures Retial Sales Price) for the phone and the phones in my area are at least $250.00 if not more. If you have the double minute plan with the 450 minute card the per minutes rate with out the cost of the double minute plan and sales tax is 0.0897 cents per minute.
The good: Easy Use, portable, great multiple function.
The bad: Battery life just below average
Display malfunctioned after period of time.
Summary: The Chocolate is a new elegant look with a sliding keypad that is great. You can listen to music from your computer onto this cell phone. only problems encountered were battery life is not so great, and this is my 2nd chocolate phone because of the same display malfunction. Other than that, I would choose this phone over any Razor or touch screen phone.
The good: Ease of operation, nice color display inside and out, nice feel, nice look, features, fair price to value.
The bad: MEMORY! NO SD card, no way to install more memory! Of the factory 4mb only 1 is usable.
Summary: If this phone had an SD card slot, internal or external (I don't care) it would be the bomb for people who are not really into multimedia stuff(like me). Phone shoots videos but NO MEMORY for anything worth while! Might as well get rid of that feature. One or two downloaded ringtones, a game, take two pictures, YOU'RE DONE. To compound the problem two memory hogging themes are installed and can't be deleted from the phone even if you don't use them!
The good: great service, reasonable plan rate.
The bad: would like to see more types of phones available.
Summary: Called me when they started offering family texting to save me money. Replaced krzr for free when having problem. replaced charger for free.
The good: has cute frames 10 to be exact when taking pictures. has flash. most phones dont have flash anymore. very clear camera. the phone looks so clean. nice buttons. mp3 player. easy to use. has a lot of info in the phone. has alarm clock, and a lot of extra features. has good battery life. i think i didnt charge my phone for 2 whole days and it was still on like it was close to dying by not yet. has i think one game i dont play it though. has speaker, blue tooth. everything looks nice it clear. not a
The bad: it wont let you put your music in the phones memory i think only in your memory card so you have to buy ringtones yourself. cant load our own music for ringtones. its kinda expensive but its worth every penny.
Summary: i love this phone. nevermind i figured it out as soon as you put your old memory card it just format your memory card. then now i drag everything into the memory card under the folder my music.
The good: Good basic phones, free transfer of minutes between phones, good coverage in GA, SC, and NC. Bonus minutes available almost every month. Easy to buy/add minutes using website or phone.
The bad: Customer service closes around 9pm EST during week and not available at all on Sunday.
Summary: We have used tracfone for several years now. My husband bought the first phone (about 5 or 6 years ago) because he was sometimes using less than 10 minutes a month and paying over $35 a month with Cingular. He needed a cell phone but didn't like the plans with all the other companies. His first phone was still working last year when tracfone changed their technology and discontinued using his type of phone. They sent him a free phone, transferred his minutes and even gave him some bonus minutes. I bought a very cheap tracfone ($15) when I was in SC last year. It came with 30 minutes and when I activated it online they gave me an extra 20 minutes. When I got back to GA I called tracfone and they sent me a new sim card and changed my phone number to a local number. I decided to use it for my 'work' phone. I bought another cheap phone a few months later. I received 20 bonus minutes for activating it online also. Both phones are still working perfectly. I bought 120 minutes from tracfone 2 weeks ago and they sent me a free phone. It is great! It's a flip phone by Motorola. I don't need 3 phones, so I'm going to quit using the 2nd phone and just keep the 1st and 3rd. I can always reactivate the 2nd one if I ever need to. Yes, it's sometimes hard to understand the customer service reps, but that's true with HP, Dell, and other companies. All of the representatives that I've spoken with over the years have been very helpful and courteous. Coverage is great and I never have dropped calls. I will never go back to Cingular (AT&T) or the contract plans again. Tracfone rocks!
The good: Nice shape, screen low resolution but bright and attractive, Durable, SIM card slot
The bad: Keys are acceptable but not the best. Quiet earpiece. Phone takes almost a minute to boot up. No web application
Summary: I liked the pill-shaped body and the screen is easy to read from a distance. I found it a bit hard to hear calls; the volume cannot be turned up very far.
The good: Everything
The bad: Not one that I can find.
Summary: After buing a nokia, I thought I was crazy when I tried the advise of a friend and bought this phone. I was indeed NOT crazy. This phone is perfect! I've never had a slider before, and this one is just AWESOME!

Camera: Digital Photo Quality.
Reception: Actually better than my Nokia.
Durability: Very Sturdy phone.
Features: This has got it ALL!

All in all, this phone is just great. I absolutely LOVE IT! I will never need an I-Pod.
The good: Great phones, improving service signal coverage, fast web access
The bad: inconsistent customer service
Summary: Have had Sprint service for 6 years. Initially service coverage in my rural area had numerous dead spots, but Sprint has steadily improved coverage and signal strength is currently excellent.

I changed my plan on each January for the last 4 years. Not any problems until this January 2008 change. Had billing error. Also experienced the very poor kind of customer service voiced by so many others in their reviews.

In contacting customer service, two successive times I was either inadvertently? disconnected or hung up on. But the third successive try to contact customer service was a charm. That particular customer service rep actually corrected the billing error (seemed to me that the first two customer service representatives did not know how to make the correction along with their indifference and insensitivity to the "Voice of the Customer".)

So, hopefully the next bill will be correct.

Apparently, the quality of customer service experience depends greatly upon the particular customer service representative handling the inquiry.

One final item regarding contract extension without informing the customer. My contract was extended for one year without my knowledge or informing by Sprint when my phone had to be replaced under an equipment warranty after one year service(warranty I had purchased on sign up from an independent Kiosk provider). I never was informed by Sprint, and found the contact extension a year later when checking on upgrading the replacement phone.
The good: Small, fits in palm of hand; good still camera; user-friendly interface; charges quickly; dual-screens, one main full-color screen inside flip, and one blue-and-white screen outside flip; alarm; camera; calendar; to-do list; voice memo; calculator; currency converter; world time.
The bad: No video recording capability; Very short, non-customizable backlight time when closed; so far I haven't found how to sync with computer.
Summary: All in all, I have found this is a very good phone for what it is worth. I bought it as an AT&T GoPhone, but put my regular SIM card in it, and it is working very well. I like the size, it fits in the closed hand very well, and the photos are very good quality. It also has a very user-friendly interface and charges very quickly. On the negative side, it has a very short backlight time when the flip is closed, and that is not adjustable. Also, it does not have a camcorder function. I have not found out how to sync it with the computer, but I think you can do that. I would highly recommend this phone to other users. It doesn't have all the functions that BlackBerries have, but it is great for the basic user, for sending and recieving calls, text messages, etc. It is also very durable, it can survive drops from about 4-5 feet. I gave this phone 4 out of 5 stars.
The good: Cute, square, good camera, with flash, lots of memory anf features, can edit photos, has cute frames,
The bad: Longest you can record video is only 15 seconds - not alot of ringtones
Summary: If someone can tell me how to use my mp3 player. Before when I had a razor all i did was drag the music in my memory card load it to my phone then listen to it. This phone wont let me open and view my meory card so its a little different. Can someone help?
The good: Reliable and I'm only paying $15.00 per month
The bad: Can't take pictures and isn't colorful.
Summary: If you want a cheap phone for communication instead of texting or taking pictures, this is for you. I have a camera for pictures, and a pc for messages. I have found that ALL cell phones get the same signals.... it's not the phone.
The good: Great reception, great customer service, fair pricing
The bad: See below.
Summary: Alltel has gone a LONG way in providing the best coverage area for Western Michigan. Buying a quality handset will get you coverage nearly everywhere, as an avid outdoorsman, 2,300 miles of mtn biking in a three county area, I get way off the beaten track and with a simple Razr have been able to share images back to my newspaper website using MMS. I'm in the market for a smartphone and am testing a Palm 755p. After checking on the Palm site I made sure the phone had the feature. After getting the phone and using it for the weekend. I love it except they don't allow MMS using the Palm. They allow email, but here's why that doesn't work. I manage a website, three actually, and I have users who send me picture messages that I then pass thru to the site. If, big if, if I can get them to change to emailing me photos there is the issue of the 6-8 additional attachments, Alltel logos and disclaimers that I can't strip out of the email. So now I'm looking at the HTC touch, which, inexplicably they allow MMS on... Please be smart and let the 30 buck a month data users pick how they want to text message.
The good: Totally awesome phone, great reception. Keyboard nearly as good as my Macbook Pro. Great mail, browser. Palm desktop is cool.
The bad: Alltel has chosen not to unlock the MMS feature of the phone and I'll probably return it for that reason. I need a smart AND mms. Long story.
Summary: It's a really nice phone. I've used an iPhone and altough there is no question the iPhone is cooler the Palm has a much nicer keyboard and the EVDO is plenty fast for smartphone browsing.
The good: Expandable memory upto 2GB (microSD card).
Good sound of in-built speaker.
Compact design.
Simple USB 1.1 (optional cable) connectivity with all computers.
The bad: No bluetooth or Infrared.
FM radio is not stereo.
No equaliser in Music player.
Summary: Totally, this is a good phone that's available in this price. If you are looking for a Music-phone with expandable memory, you will cost a minimum of Rs.7000 ( approx. $170 )
But, W230 is at about $75.
It's the good choice at this price!
