The good: Traveled over the state little or no problems, better service then friends with competors phones that charged roaming T-mobile never, traveled to midwest great service all the way...
The bad: after ten years none.....
Summary: Great phone co never had a problem after having a different co that I never didn't have a problem. I could not ask for better service or a better company. The people are always helpful and do a great Job. Customer service the best...
The good: Easy To Use, Sleek, Good Camera, Loud MP3 Player, Bright Screen, Good Speaker.
The bad: Battery Dies Fast, Not Very Tough, The Buttons Are Weird, Almost No Internal Memory, bluetooth sucks.
Summary: I have been through a few of these phones.
the first few just kept messing up,
i accidentally broke one of them, and
the one i've had has lasted two weeks so far.
its a really nice phone, its just fragile, and its a good teenager phone, just not with the battery and with how fragile it is.
its an okay phone, i've had better.
The good: Low prices compared to other companies.
The bad: Insurance can only be bought for a short period of time. Poor reception in one area.
Summary: SunCom is a pretty fair company. Yes, you can only buy insurance for a short period of time. They tell you that right up front. Second, my husband and I did not have to renew a plan once our 2 yr. deal ended. The company has been very gracious and helpful.
The good: good keyboard (when keys don't stick), extended battery, easy Bluetooth sync, pictures
The bad: everything....keys stick, delays in all applications, difficult navigation of everything, text message organization, just a lot.
Summary: Hopefully I just received a random broken phone, but this phone was horrible. Turned it back in within 20 days. Everything froze, the h and m keys don't work on text, bluetooth connection would just drop, no direct camera key, email set up was impossible, backlight was never the same each time (no matter what setting you have it on), missed calls like crazy, horrible static during calls. Good thing was the battery (extended) lasts forever. Good speakerphone (just not on receiving end of convo).
The good: - Phone Call Clarity
- Signal Strength
- Large Beautiful Color Screen
- Smooth Functioning Slider
- Compact and lightweight
- Very Cool Touch Screen Keys
- Tolerable Battery Life (2days)
- Picture and Video Display is Excellent
- Customizable Favorite Programs Menu
- Packed With Neat Features
The bad: - Only one theme provided (but that one theme is nice)
- No 3G (everyone is hung up on this so I?ll just write it anyway)
- Touch Keys are Hyper-Sensitive (but that?s why it?s called touch keys)
- Configuring the internet/mms for AT&T was a pain
- Overseas phones are not insurable by service providers
- Difficult to install applications and games (so I?ve read)
Summary: The Samsung SGH-E840 is a beautifully crafted intelligent phone that most should immediately fell in love with. The some of the neat features include: Document Viewer - FM Radio, Currency Converter, Calculator, Multiple Alarm Settings, Organizer, To-Do-List, Calendar, 70MB Internal Memory, Extended Memory MicroSD (up to 2GB), Bluetooth technology v 2.0, Quad band, EDGE/GPRS)
The good: GREAT customer service, affordable prices and nice service.
The bad: None so far!
Summary: I've only had T-Mobile for 3 months, but so far it is the best cell phone service I've ever had and I've been with Cricket, Verizon, Cingular and Sprint. I got my T-Mobile Wing for FREE with a 2 year service agreement and so far haven't had a problem.

CUSTOMER SERVICE
I've called customer service up to 3 times in one day when I first got my phone just for questions about billing and features on my phone and there was no hold time, the reps were polite and very helpful and answered all of my questions clearly and thouroughly.

PLANS
I have the TMobile fav 5 with 600 minutes. I have talked over 2,000 minutes with one of the people on my fav 5 in one month and of course there are NO extra charges because fav 5 is unlimited! I originally started with the 1000 minutes plan but only use about 1/5 of that during peak times so I went down to 600 and they didn't try to get me to resign my contract or give me any penalties at all! They will even pro-rate your bill to the beginning of the cycle as long as you call before the statement has gone out so that you don't have any overages or if you used less than you thought you would.

I also have the unlimited data plan for 19.99 which is AWESOME because it's almost just like having the internet in your pocket. You can check your email, go to any website on the web and even use your telephone as a modem for you computer and get online on your computer under the data plan. I had unlimited data with my sprint razr, but I still had to pay $3 a month just to use aol and I could only go to the website that sprint allowed me to. It DOES count as text messages when you use the instant messenger, but I have unlimited text messaging anyway for $14.99.

BILLING
TMobile mails out your bill a couple weeks before it's even due and with that is included a complete phone log history of who you talked to and for how long. Also, the bill you pay is for what you've already used and not for the upcoming month like some cell phone companies!

TROUBLESHOOTING
I DID have something go wrong with my phone and have to call customer support to troubleshoot it, but after trying several things we finally fixed it in 45 minutes without me even having to go to the store.

INSURANCE PLAN
The insurance is 5.99 a month and that covers if the phone is lost, stolen or obtains any damage (Yes! Even water damage!). There IS a $100 deductible for my phone, but since I got the phone for free and it's retail price is actually around $400 that's still a pretty good deal to me.

All in all I give TMobile a HUGE thumbs up and I hope that they never change.
The good: I like this phone because it's my laptop, phone, and camera all in one. It's easy to operate and it's fun to handle.
The bad: Ahhh, the worst thing about this phone... I cant send pictures from mobile to mobile! I'm a new mom and I constantly take pictures. I can email them to others, I just can't send them to other people's cell phones. This is just a minor set back to a great phone.
Summary: After all is said and done, I love this phone. The battery life is great. It connects to the Internet just as quickly as my DSL and the picture quality to good.
The good: Durable suprisingly, great for texting when you get used to the keyboard, cool design, lcd
The bad: Hard to type on keyboard for a while (then gets easier) hard to use for a while like a normal flip phone
Summary: I've had it for about a year and dropped it a lot, and it still works like the day i got it suprisingly. great for texting
The good: Good customer service, willing to work with you and go out of their way to help, even throw in some extras to keep you happy. Phone gets great reception and very few dropped calls. I get a free phone every two years, my Motorola Razr was free.
The bad: None.
Summary: I love everything about AT&T, I have no complains at all. I have been with AT&T since before they became Cingular and now they are back to being AT&T again and customer service has always been GREAT -- they always answered my questions patiently and politely, resolved every problem (although my problems have been very few and far between). The phones are great, the reception is better than my friends who have Verizon and Sprint. I rarely get a dropped call, and I commute from New Jersey to New York every day, no problem with reception in the tunnel or anywhere else in the city. Even on my vacation in the Catskills where everyone else had no reception whatsoever (yes and that includes Verizon), I had no problems at all, in fact I was the only one using my cell phone. Needless to say, I will stay with AT&T for a very long time, and I even got my friends to switch. So far, none of them have any complaints either!
The good: the monthly rate plan are great!!!
The bad: the coverage area
Summary: Ive been with t-mobile for over 4 years and the only problem I've had to deal with is not having service while underground. I love t-mobile the phones are great, the rate plans are affordable, and their customer service is great. No complaint on my end you should go out and get one.
The good: I barely ever have a dropped call.
They have never taken too much money from me.
the unlimited calling plan.
The bad: Crappy phones.
Summary: I have had suncom for about 2 years now. maybe 3. and i haven't had a problem with it. the only thing i don't like about them is that their phones aren't very fancy. even though that doesn't really matter. but i want a phone with a full keyboard for texting. and they don't have nice cheap ones for that. i think they should get sidekicks like tmobile. other then that the service is great.
The good: Consistant customer service, competitive plans and phones
The bad: Sometimes my in-coming calls don't come through-just dead air, is it possible to have a good deal on smaller bundles?
Summary: While I didn't have many issues with my previous provider, Sprint, I did have to deal with the reps saying, "We are currently updating our system, please call back in 45 minutes." I'd call back in the said time, and I'd get the same message from the rep again and again. This happened to me while I was attempting to put a hold on my account for a month long trip out of the country. End result, I didn't get the hold placed on my account, and had to pay the full monthly service fee. I have not had that problem with T-Mobile. I've place 2 holds on my account, and it was so easy, I just called in and scheduled when I wanted my phone to go into suspend and when I wanted it to turn back on. I was delightfully surprised when the suspend actually went into effect and ended, just as scheduled, no worries. No calling in on the day I needed to have the susped start, who has time for that when catching a flight? Add to that the the ease that I had checking up on my account via Internet, it was wonderful not to have to worry about my phone!

Customer service has always been prompt and courteous. I was afraid of having issues when switching my phone number from Sprint to T-Mobile, but alas, no problems arose.
The good: good starter phone good pics
The bad: bad battery life
Summary: Its a very good starter phone. if u want something not expensive you should get this phone
The good: Small size, good voice quality, lots of features
The bad: Flimsy construction, fragile, slippery plastic housing hard to grasp
Summary: We got these phones with our AT&T (ex-Cingular) GSM account in December 2007 ( 2 phones.) While they have great voice quality and good performance, they are in my opinion about as robust as a canary. The plastic shell is soft, too slippery and thin. Dropping it or accidentally sitting on it when it's in your pocket will likely result in a cracked and broken LCD display either on the back side or interior screen. The menus are arranged to direct you into pay-extra services when first opened, such as AT&T's music downloader, instead of something more obvious and useful such as the address book. The "push to talk" button (should really be "push for extra charges") is too close to the earpiece volume control buttons for me and easy to hit by accident. One of our 6555's comes up with "SIM card not initialized" regularly for no reason and has to be turned off and re-booted to clear this. I use the phone about an hour a day and it requires charging every other day for 2.5 hours, which is better than my previous phone. The charger jack is on the side instead of the bottom, making it awkward to use the phone while the charger is in use. In my opinion, this is another example of the latest 3G phone with too many features you don't need and will never use (unless you are a trendy high school kid.) A minor inconvenience is that the backlights on the keyboard, and the screen, don't stay lit long enough. Pause while dialing a number manually and everything will go dark until the next key is pressed, which is awkward in the dark. The display is a decent size and bright (so far) and the menu button easy to use. I haven't used the camera, so can't comment on it. All in all, I am satisfied with this phone, which is what AT&T is presently giving you here when you initiate service with a contract, however I am constantly worried about accidentally breaking it, which I never was with any other phone.
The good: ease of use
The bad: antenna strips easily
Summary: Well my v220 is 2yrs old and it took a lot of abuse over time and only recentley started to act up it is a relibile phone and i'll be kinda sad to get rid of it
The good: I have been a T Mobile Costumer since 06 and have not had any problems with the sservice at all it was also better then some of the other carriers that i had used as company phones. My phone with Tmobile had better service then with those phones. It really depends on the type phone that you have.
The bad: having to get switched to different departments for certain phones because not everyone is able to help on all issues.
Summary: i enjoy t mobile overall and continue to renue my contract and buy new phones. i drive a truck cross country and have very few areas where my phone doesnt have service but that is all cell phone companies
My wife and I both got the LG AX-275 as our first camera phones. It is a good entry level phone. The pictures are clear and the features are easy to use. We are happy with our purchase.
The good: Cool metallic look
Bright large screen.
The bad: The OK button goes to AT&T's website rather than menu like most phones.
Worst ringtones.
No simple ringtones.
Wierd power jack -- not on bottom of phone like most.
Summary: No doubt this phone is a good looking device. Has two very bright screens. Gorgeous brushed metallic look.

However, you will soon find out that the menu button that most phones have actually maps to AT&T website to buy ringtones. While this is a brilliant marketing move, it's really really annoying. I don't see the advantage that this phone has over the razor.

It may be me, but the hinge doesn't "feel" that strong. There's already some side to side play between the top and buttom through the hinge.

Finally, the power jack is a wierd USB-like plug and requires you to undo a flimsy cover to plug it in.
The good: Low-cost basic service, no contract, no hidden fees, no startup fees, connection fees, etc., remaining minutes displayed on phone
The bad: Website is not user-friendly, customer service not consistent
Summary: The website is not user-friendly. If you can't make it through all the screens, you have to call customer service. With luck, you will get a normal human being. If not, you get someone who barely functions on a human level. The wait time can be 30 minutes.----

It's a long complicated procedure to get your service set up and renewed. Getting voice mail set up was unbelievably complicated. You pay to retrieve your messages, by the way.-------

If you buy the one-year service, your contact with customer service is kept to a minimum. That I know of, there is no lower-cost way of having cell phone service.

Cost-per-minute is not the best comparison. There are lower cost per minute services, but those are standard phone contracts with all their fees, gimmicks, etc. This is service for people who need to make a call now and then, not for followers of gadget fads.

The good: No major problems in 11 years of personal service, good friendly customer service, good reception
The bad: No new technology as far as the newest phones, they didn't have the razor for months!! No rollover minutes.
Summary: I've been with US Cellular since they were Cell One, or basically 11 years. I've had friendly customer service, and good reception. I have maybe one dropped call every 2-3 years. I've had no real problems until I reduced my minutes at their recommendation, and proceded to go over my minutes by 650 minutes! I had no warning by them as to my minute usage, and they claimed absolutely no responsibility or leniency when I got a $400 bill.
