has a very sharp display, and very awesome graphics.
the screen size it a bit small.. but still i like playing games on it and also love siri. :)
The best of the best in the market. once it gets ICS update it is rock like any thing.
I'm saddened to see all the awful reviews on this site! I have been a customer for close to ten years now and everything has always been pretty great. I get service everywhere and have never had a call dropped as a result of my service. The GPS is awesome, things load very quickly, and 4G is expanding every day.
The only thing I would like to change is better discounts on phones. My HTC Evo 4G has been almost useless for a couple months now (through no fault of Sprint, they've done a good job working with me on it) and unfortunately the upgrade price is too high for me.
Overall I say bravo, Sprint!
For the first few words, I would say that I had never even thought for a once to own such a massive device for my personal usage. My Samsung galaxy s2 was enough to cater for all my geeky needs. But on someone's recommendations, I chose Apple iPhone 4s. That decision was only to please that person as he was arguing with me for years about the better OS being iOS or Android, So I gave a try and opted for the first time an Apple device. Soon the initial craze vanished and only after 15 days of usage, I started missing openness of Android. I was feeling like caged in bars of Apple inc. So i decided to revert back to SGSII, but according to my good old friend(A local Smartphone dealer), it would be against one's legacy to return to older devices, so he recommended me to go for Galaxy note (International version, as Indian operators do not believe on contracts) and I can swear on anything I don't miss my Galaxy S2. This phone works like charm and I've even stopped using my vaio for browsing through my media and HD movies. This has become my media device more than a smartphone. Although I was never a fan of mobile gaming but some efforts made by google(play store offers) made me try them at a discounted price and big screen makes everything feel like BIGGER!!!!(even angry birds seems great to my brother again). I disagree with some people on internet, who say that it grabs unnecessary attention as Indian people don't even care about big or small cell phones(Expensive watches, bikes, cars and shoes are pieces of interest here). So, all in all, I have no regret of having this awesome device till something else comes better than this.
Towards the end, I'll say that at least once a person needs to own this device and feel its power and a biggest display on a mobile phone, only then the illusions created by some launchers (claiming to be OS) will be demystified and one can feel the true feeling of freedom on his own device (Not controlled by some idiot sitting on an aluminium computer). I hope you'll like this review.
qHD is ideal. It really is...higher res displays cause lag (at least currently) The LCD is truer to life color than the AMOLED's (maybe not as pretty) and is notably sharper in image which is huge for people like me who don't like fuzzy writing. The screen wrap when web browsing makes web browsing WAY better than any other manufacturer. The ONLY negative is that this phone is discontinued and, as such, phone-specific accessories are virtually non-existant.
Have been eye-ing on this phone ever since it's out, can't find any better phone that beats this beast in term of quality display and lasting battery :)
Almost no negatives. Battery life is not as good as it should be. But an update will apparently fix this. Also the driving app needs a data connection to work. This will also be fixed, Nokia says, in a next update. Love this phone and the Windows phone 7.5 interface. Used Android for years, but I am now a Windows convert :-)
The size is not a problem. If you think its too big, you are wrong. For everything you use a smartphone for (email, apps, web browsing, messaging etc.) the size is essential. I am a designer and love the s-pen, however i didn't think that I'd use it for navigation but find that I prefer using the s-pen for navigation than my finger.
All in all this phone (and it is a phone in my opinion) is amazing. If you haven't used and loved this device you are a lemon!
If you love watching HD movies, playing games in HD Browsing the web and Sending and recieving emails while on the go the Samsung Galaxy Note is the perfect device for you.
After having 7 Android devices, two iPod Touch's and messing around with a HTC Titan, I feel fairly well rounded with mobile OS's. Here's my breakdown of the Galaxy Nexus (unlocked version, since I have T-Mobile).
1. The screen is absolutely gorgeous. It makes the retina display on my iPod look horrible. Watching videos is especially immersive when the buttons disappear and the video takes up the entire screen. I actually use this phone more for movies than my tablet now.
2. Battery life (on the international version) is incredible! Verizon is killing the reputation of this phone with LTE. My phone normally doesn't drop below 80% with moderate use until I've had it off the charger for 9-10 hours. I can easily make it 2 days without charging and I have quite a few widgets updating, plus a couple hours of calls every day and browsing, facebook..etc. For anyone that doesn't have Verizon, this is the best performing phone for battery life I've ever seen.
3. ICS is a MAJOR upgrade for Android. Most of the apps I used to customize or organize my phone I don't even have installed anymore because ICS looks so amazing in it's stock form. It does have the occasional lag, but considerably less than it's predecessors. From the folders, to the now universal swipe to delete or move screens, it's the most polished OS I've seen. I get depressed when I pick up my iPod and use iOS now. I used to use my iPod exclusively for gaming, I hardly had any games on my phones at all. I haven't played one game on iOS since buying this phone. My iPod is a music player now, and that's about it.
4. Build quality is typical Samsung. That being said, while it feels cheap, I (like an idiot) dropped my phone off of a second story balcony at work, I about had a heart attack. When I went down to check on it, I found that aside from the battery door coming off and having to put the battery back in, there was only one small scratch on the corner where it landed. I was shocked! It doesn't FEEL as premium as some other handsets, but I'll take a phone I can drop over 20ft and keep using over something that FEELS more premium any day of the week.
In short, if you LOVE iOS or Windows Phone, stay with it, they're wonderful choices, but if you want the best phone on the market right now, the Galaxy Nexus is the only choice. I just recommend getting the non-Verizon version.
Great display
Call quality really good
Battery life could be better
I really like the design
Android ICS is really good and well rounded
Overall, this phone is really great, I wouldn't choose any other one.
People who know me know I can put a sartphone through a lot of strong tests.
Every iOS device I have just works. I experience no lag but apps do crash but that's the developer's fault not apple's. Also my battery lasts me all day and with iCloud I have all my information on this device. The only cons are AT&T network (not apple's fault) and I wish they would make a bigger screen size. 3.7 to 4 inches.
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is by far the best phone available. ICS (4.0) is amazing, as is the skinless, vanilla Android OS. I don't have a single bad thing to say about this phone!
best phone for multimedia device and has other great functions of the Samsung galaxy s 2
