Firstly I've owned the Note for just over a month, and I must say I am genuinely impressed. Everything about this phone attracted me, the 5.3in display especially. I am a media consumption junkie, so this seemed the natural choice, however as I found out over the past month, it can do SO much more.
The Note is a beast of a phone, no doubt, but the trade off is entirely worth it. It's extra jumbo form factor is offset by it's expansive versatility. I replaced my iPod, my phone, and to an extent, even my laptop with this device. The screen size makes it ideal for what you already might think, YouTube, web browsing, Netflixing. but that larger screen also translates into more texts visible at a time (handy, if like me, you find yourself lost while holding multiple text conversations). More real estate means more room for widgets icons and the like, reducing the number of home screens I need. and with its 800x1280 resolution, everything looks beautiful through the note.
The other features were not skimped on either. The Camera takes very nice shots as long as your target isn't moving, and it's HD video capture looks fantastic as well. The speaker is adequate, if not a little quiet for my tastes (in pocket on a bus, if it weren't for the vibration I'd never hear it) The processor is fast, both in the various benchmarks, and more impressively (In my opinion) experientially.
Last and least - The stylus. Brilliant idea plagued by bad build quality. I love the stylus, make no mistake I used it a lot in the first 4 days of my ownership of this phone...however. It, after 4 days of use, began to show wear, nib sticking in, making swyping impossible. (Something the stylus is amazing more) and absolutely destroying it's pressure sensitivity. and as a heavy user of Wacom products, that is unusual. I have owned Wacom tablets for many years, none of which suffered such poor build quality.
Final thoughts - Despite the pens lackluster quality, I LOVE this device. It does everything I ask, and is ready for more, first time, every time. Two thumbs up.
This phone was well worth every penny i have spent on it. Better than the Iphoone and any Android ive owned.
a game like infinity blade would be awesome on this but we'll just have to stick with blood and glory
This phone is the best android phone i have ever had. #NUFFSAID
Received my fury a week ago. I have been very pleased with it. I live in a decent signal area but it's rural also. I am a pastor and needed new phone that had good signal and battery life. I feel it meets and even exceeds my expectations. Good Android phone that I believe will prove very dependable.
First of all nokia limia 800 is the best designed device, there is nothing quite like it, form factor is just nice, it fits right in your hand.Call quality is very good with no distortion. The display is nice and bright colours just pop just a little bit on the smaller size.Watching videos on youtube is ok, and web broswer does a nice job only without flash.Windows phone oprerating sistem is fluid and works well but app choice on the market are pretty poor but the basic apps are coverd.Music player is great and suond from phone is good too. Camera on the phone is good enough for me with decent colours and sharpness and videos are fine.
Best phone I have ever owned the screen is wonderful, Apps are the best
Like no other, and Siri best thing since sliced bread
I was the girl that said she would never get a smartphone that didn't have a slide-out QWERTY because I never thought I could type messages easily without one. I was wrong!! (Yes I admit it! :)
The Apple keyboard is so easy to use. I type fast and predictive text corrects me when I am off and gets the word correct for me 99% of the time. The size of the device is perfect for me and the build quality is great. With WiFi at home I use it a lot more and will add apps, play games, text and talk all day and night and normally get to 20% juice left on the battery by the end of the evening. After seeing the screen quality on other devices I would love to see that improve with the next new iPhone. The other issue I have is I cannot be laying down and talking on the phone. Noone can ever hear me. Also, when I first answer a call and say hello they other person normally never hears me. I usually have to be a second or two into the connection before they hear me. Not sure if this is a device thing or a Sprint thing. Either way it's not a deal breaker.
this is a great phone i love it you should buy it
Good phone, not quite as good as my old Galaxy S II Epic 4g Touch but it is still a solid device. The only negatives are the camera and the battery life. Battery life is some-what forgivable because of the 4.65in HD screen and the fact that verizon is offering an extended battery for 50% off that doesn't thicken the device at all. The other negative is the camera. It does well in well lite situations and it has zero shutter lag which is a welcome addition but in low light conditions pictures sometimes look grainy. Overall the only phone I would choose over it on verizon is the Razr Maxx.
I love my GSII! It has got to be the best phone I have purchased hands down. Coming from a dell streak to this was just night and day. Don't get me wrong the streak was good but this is just a beast! It runs so smoothly and the only time it has ever lagged was when I had a plethora of updates going on at the same time from the Play store. The size, sound, battery are all exceptional. JuiceDefender helps the battery a lot. My only complaint is the display seems to be messed up. I have splotches of discoloration you can only see on black areas of pictures. It's like a fading of the screen but it's only noticeable on pure black backgrounds. Other than that, this phone is amazing. Well worth it. Especially combined with T-Mo's 4G service. Currently averaging 20 Mbps down.
cool, but network is not good enough, apps in app store is not suitable enough, except for those, cool phone
best design best quality best apps n performance is best also
1.2 GHz Dual Core Processor Dual Cameras Dual LED Flash 4.3inch Super LCD Stereoscopic 3-D Display Makes The Phone Attractive. Not All Phones Have The Nice 3-D Function.Stands Up With The Latest Phones Like The IPhone4s. Not The Best Call Quality But Just Minor Its A Fun Device Really Recommend It. Check It Out.
This phone is pretty and work well day to day. Its fast and has a large beutiful screen. As with any Android have a charger at work and one in the car however. The speaker isn't as loud and clear as my Photon, but its good enough condidering the weight difference and slender form of the phone. The didn't get a five cause they aren't quite there with the iphone's yet.
I bought this at best buy for $245.00.Through the compare pricing. At amazon . Fast as all getup very easy to operate can not wait for the upgrade to icecream sandwich. Battery life was the only draw back But to support such a awesome screen i can see why. Also it did not get a perfect five all around because of the sound . Downloading and buffering like i said is truly awesome. Love it. But i recommend going with at&t instead of T-mobil. Because of the 4Glte truily fast. So there it is simple the best all over.
The battery lasts me about a day and a half, which is perfectly acceptable for me (as it is not such an inconvenience to charge nightly). Great speeds and functionality. Only con would be few random self-restarts, which don't really bother me as much as anal phone users.
My first windows phone after years of iphone and android, and it's refreshing. The lumia is fantastic, the screen so bright, the LTE is blazing fast (though slower than it was on my Galaxy Note), and the battery life is lasting me longer than my iphone 4, skyrocket, or note ever did. The camera was relatively disappointing because of how much it was hyped up, but it's not bad at all.
I rated app and media support a 2 not because of lack of applications (you can find an alternate to any missing app), but rather because of the ridiculous price of some apps compared to other platforms.
No lags or freezing at all, and the screen rotation is crazy fast. Amazing considering a single core processor.
The best phone I've ever seen, the screen, the battery life are by far it's better than any phone on the market.
