I went from the Droid Charge to the HTC thunderbolt and I have to say, the Thunderbolt screen is no match for the super amoled Charge screen. However, The layout, the features, and the camera quality make the thunderbolt worth it. Average battery for a 4G android device. It lasts about a day
Awesome Phone, Gaming changing OS. Period.
This phone is not for everyone. Yep, you read that right. Most people just won't 'get it'. The idea behind WP7 is elegance, simplicity and style. Microsoft has done a PHENOMENAL job in bringing forward the next step in User Interface with Metro UI, Live Tiles and Hubs. Pinning your favorite apps to the home screen and seeing them update automatically without having to open them is very cool.
The actual phone itself is a dream to hold in your hand. Nokia has always been known for designing quality hardware and this does NOT disappoint. The molded plastic feels solid in your hand, and the display has some of the best contrast I've ever seen. Rich blacks and colors that pop make it a pleasant experience to operate.
As with any phone/ecosystem there are some cons. For starters, the camera was kind of a disappointment. It takes good photos, but with Nokia's heritage, it should be taking the BEST photos on a smartphone. You can only record at 720p, but that is an OS limitation that is being addressed in a future update.
You're going to hear a lot of people complaining about the lack of apps, but I haven't had an issue with any of the apps I use in other platforms. And since the phone has best-in-class integration with the big social networks like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, you can update your status on all networks on one screen.
The important thing is that this is one of those phones that once you hold in your and and try, you'll absolutely love.
the 900 is best flagship out when it comes to built-in features and easy of use.
the display is the best looking out of any device despite a lack of resolution.
The battery lasts me all day (6:30am- 12am) with playing games, checking email every 15-20 minutes, an hour or more of talk time, wifi always on and 1 to2 bars of cellular service (less signal means more battery consumption )
The phone is a brick in all the good ways: heavy and solid, it likes staying in your hand.
The apps are there with some lack of the newest one (stupid games e.g. draw something, words with friends)and websites load well and would be better if companies stopped using WebKit standards (WebKit is completely insecure) and used true HTML5 and CSS standards.
and for $99 with $100 back if bought before 4/22, it is the best deal ever too.
I have been using this phone as my daily driver since it came out. Mind you I also have the iPhone 4S (AT&T 64GB) and Galaxy Note (AT&T). But have not wanted to switch from the 900. The only issue I have it I wish the camera was just a little better.
I love the OS. Windows phone 7 is just a very elegant OS. the big texts are very appealing to the eyes especially if you use the black-white-red combination. It's just AMAZING! The OS never lags since I used it. this phone rapes my Galaxy S i9000 very very badly. Good cell radio and wifi signals (better than iPhone's). Solid design! love the feel and the texture of its polycarbonate casing. Bettery life, though in LTE, is way better then Android phones out there! The apps I used to have in my Galaxy S are all in the Market so I am happy that the app count has never given me a problem.
I like everything about this phone except the screen glass that seems easily laid on the top of the display panel. I was looking for the curved design like the one in lumia 800
Pros:
I like the display because it's big and the pixel density is okay at around 280 (not so sure), anyways, the super amoled panel makes this phone very appealing. The second thing that made me like this phone is the smoothness as I scroll on the screen. I admire the smoothness found in iPhone 4s and this phone exhibits almost the same smoothness the iPhone brings and I said that based on my experience.
Cons: as always, Samsung doesn't design their phones well. I find Samsung pathetic in their designing strategy of their phones. I mean, they could use some other materials other than plastic one this phone has/ they could perhaps use polycarbonate or metal like HTC phones. Also, the aesthetics of this phone is ridiculous if not bec of the amoled screen!
what makes me generally dislike this phone is that it is android! battery life on this is not a big problem but it's just not consistent is terms of app handling, scrolling, pinch zooming.. all those goodness that iPhone 4s can give with very minimal effort considering it's got just 800mhz dual core chip. fragmentation is a prob with android too.
I also like the all share and remote functionality of this phone as I could pair it up with my tv. BTW, the dual view rocks bigtime!
Well when I first held the HTC One X I feel in love with it and you can see why.I love the 720p HD screen on that huge 4.7 inch display unliike the HTC Titan and the Titan II with the 800 x 400 resolution. Battery life has been okay it's not the best (Droid Razr Maxx) but it is great.Love the design of it but I did find that it was a little slippery but I can get used to it. Last but not least the Google Play Store I just love it in general but it's still growing so that's what I think about the HTC One X!
This is my first smartphone ever, although i am very familiar with the mobile world/news. Coming from a feature phone the Sharp FX, the Nokia Lumia 900 is a good starter smartphone. Display is beautiful with its AMOLED ClearBlack Technology Screen. Its true, i can see what im doing on the screen even at its lowest setting. Had no problem with call quality and signal was awesome. LTE here in San Francisco is awesome, so speeds are fast even when it goes down to 4G HSPA+. Since i have smartphone addiction at the moment, i am constantly using it so that should explain why my battery is almost depleted in more than half of the day. Design is beautiful, the polycarbonate body feels awesome. I take out the phone out of my case sometimes just to feel it. AHAHAHA! weird i know but thats how you know that the quality is great. Apps are getting there, i really do wish it can keep up with the iOS and Android, but i can live with it for now. Some Third Party apps are good here but ill just wait until more apps come. Overall this phone is awesome and im really addicted to this Lumia. Oh and one more thing, Camera is okay. For me, i dont need my pictures to be very fine details, i just need to capture what i want to capture. of course, it works good out on broad daylight and if you are in low light conditions, flash illuminates very well. just a lil adjustment on the settings with the camera and you should be satisfied.
The phone is lovely, it works nice and performes beautifully. The only sad thing about it (even after getting ics) is that samsung kept their touchwiz. It's a pain in the eye. The other thing I don't like is the more pointier and flat design it has. The galaxy nexus seems nicer to the eye and hand but doesn't seem all that powerful compared to the s2, even if they have some of the same features. Anyway. In my opinion, until maybe a S3 or something nicer from htc, S2 still needs to be a top ranking phone
What can't you do with the phone? Phone, tablet all in one, needless to say it's like a LCD mini HD flatscreen in the palm of your hand. Need I say more?!
Got net10 in 2009.... never had a problem with the phone or customer service and have had the phone from day one
I have had Android and iPhone and this phone leaves both in the dust. The reception is great, love the live tiles, easy to use but when the phone read me my text message while I was driving that was over the top!!!
This phone is so awesome!!!!! Its like have a smartphone and a tablet all in one
Best phone ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It has everything that one should love. I dont see any point that i should hate this device. Its really cool and fast windows phone.
