Likes: notification center, more camera options, led indicator, fluidity
Hates: battery life, mobile data switcher removed from the notification center after the Jelly Bean Update.
the design is very nice
and the display is good
i love this phone
I was on the fence between this phone and the Nexus but eventually choose the Optimus G for a few reasons. The first being it has double the memory at 32 gigs. Moreover, LTE is ... well, addicting. Once you experience the speed, it's hard to downgrade. And LG's skin is light enough to get a good google experience while adding some neat features, Q slide being my favorite. I can't say enough about this phone, it's just a great piece of technology. It's fast, really fast. It does everything you throw at it with ease and finess. That being said, I do wish the battery would last a little longer. Call quality was good but not great, same with the camera. It does get a bit warm after continued use as well and the Optimus G doesn't ship with JB. Hopefully that will be remedied soon!
Its fast, great camera good app selection and a good compition with iPhone
Movie watching is so superior and you can just hook it to a monitor and run it as good as a lap top or better.
dont hestitate, just buy this galnote ll, and you will thanks to me later..
if you worry about the size, trust me its not that big
even i still amaze with this phablet
I started my smart phone ownership with the Iphone 3g. It was the best phone at the time ( In my opinion.. ). But then I started getting jealous of the larger screen Android phones. I was with AT&T so I decided to try the Motorola Atrix 2. It was nice enough with it's 4.3 inch screen. This is when I was introduced to the Android world. I had to get used to it's quirks. It seemed you had to download apps to make certain things work ( like google voice for visual voicemail and a music player like google music to play my music. ). OK, Android fanatic's, before you get up into my grill, I'm ok with it now! Then the Galaxy Note came out and I lusted for that one. Since I had used Best Buy's buy back program, I traded my Atrix 2 in on the Note. I loved it and it's nice non-pentile screen, but it was just too big for my pocket. I then went to the Iphone 4. This is when I started to realize I wanted a nice high resolution screen. Then the Galaxy S3 came out. I had read the reviews and everyone loved this thing. I relied on the professional reviewers who seemed to mention it's pentile display and said it was not noticeable to the naked eye. This was my first time hearing about pentile displays. So, I decided to get the gs3. But I wanted an LTE network that was already up and running, so I jumped ship and left AT&T and went to Verizon. When the clerk turned on the gs3, I was horrified. After coming from the iphone ( approx. 320 ppi, ) and the Note ( approx. 270 ish NON PENTILE ) the gs3 screen was blurry to me! These naked eyes could see the difference! I decided to give it a chance anyway. The screen size and size of the phone were perfect. But, I just couldn't get over the pentile display. I decided to return the gs3 and get the Iphone 5. It was nice enough ( camera and battery life are superb ) but the screen was still too small. I returned it. But Verizon had no viable phones! They were all pentile display phones or old and outdated.. So I got a Best Buy gift card and got a used Thunderbolt. It was big and battery life was crappy, but I enjoyed the 4.3 inch non pentile screen. I then discovered the HTC Rezound. It's screen was beautiful. It's ppi is 340! Remember Iphone's is about 320 ppi. So, I figured I would just use the Rezound ( it also was big and had horrible battery life ) until something better came along ( remember I am now stuck with Verizon's selection of phones.). Thankfully I didn't have to wait long! The DNA arrived! It has a beautiful 5 inch NON-PENTILE high resolution 441 ppi screen. And the size of the phone is the same as the gs3! The camera is very good. The battery is a huge surprise! It actually lasts me all day. And with minimal use, into the next day! I have kept my music collection to about 6 gigs so the 16 gigs works for me. I have fallen in love with this phone. You just need to hold one in your hand and I think you would agree.
I just bought a new Samsung Note II, I tried to login and create an account and the Dummy programmers send a text message with my password to my phone number that does not work and give me no other options, such as send it to an active email? Locos!!
must see the NFC connection on this device.
it is really great if you release the same US version in other countries
Display: One word.....Stunning...PureMotion belittles Retina or AMOLED in every way.... Clearback lives up to its hype and makes it excellently readable in sunlight..
Reception and Call Quality: Very good reception and call quality and that HD voice call functionality rocks..!!
Battery Life:This needed a li'l support of the portico update but battery easily gets you through a day since with 30% charge left with higher than moderate usage throughout the day...and wireless charging is by no way a gimmick.. u must get one of those wireless charging plates out there!!
Design/Form Factor: Excellent polcarbonate design but 4 out of 5 due to two things 1) atleast should have as thin as the Lumia 900 not saying its too thick but phones nowadays dont get thicker in their next generation nokia 2) weight.. the same complain as thickness i tcan easily hold 185g in my hand throughout the day but Nokia you shoudlnt have ever let the weight go to subjective factor!!
Apps & Media Support: Media support is exceelent with free offline caching and downloading in Nokia Music with over 20 million songs.... u can find almost all songs iTunes have and that too for free... and if you subscribe to Xbox Music its 30 million songs.. 10 million more than the iTunes... That screen is exceelnt for watching movies... HD is great and by no wat you need 1080p on a mobile device its an overkill.. plus WP8 supports easy drag and drop of files as it can open as a USB mass storage device on your PC...smooth!! Now apps is something different... windows phone now has almost all essential apps.. Chase, Paypal, all Angry Birds, Photo editing and video editing software official google, twitter, facebook and over 125000 more apps but still essential extras like temple run, instagram are absent. (truth be told Instagram is being a bully about it coz facebook and twitter constantly update their apps.) but then their are seductive exclusives like really useful and greatest yet official Office app, Nokia Drive, Nokia Maps, Nokia Music and other Nokia exclusives mind you HTC dont have these great apps..!!!
Camera: Awesome in low light no match whatsoever by any camera phone... and after Portico easily the same for daylight photos too.... Video is unmatchable due too the OIS as it removes the need of quality reducing image stabilization software to get involved and yet videos turn out smoother, brighter, warmer with more colours and higher contrast ratio!! Lenses are wonderful way too easily add fuctionality to its already great camera..!!
Previous phones .htc g1, htc g2, lg g2x,samsung galaxy 1, , samsung galaxy 2, htc sensation, htc amaze, htc hd2,
lg ku990, lg prada. These are not in order and yes I am aware some are not android phones
I have had T Mobile for over 6 years through those 6 years I have tried AT&T Verizon and sprint when I realized all those companies do not have what t Mobile has to offer I decided to stay with T Mobile now T Mobile may not have the best coverage however they do have the best customer service over the phone and they also have the best prices anywhere I've read the majority these reviews and they are s*** they are complaining about things that any normal company would penalize you for over. the review that I have for T Mobile is based on the service and the experience that I have had over 6 years of being with them I have had many phones I haven't had that many dropped calls or problems the service the price of T Mobile is significantly better than any computer out there to date and their customer service is way beyond better than any customer service you will find in any company
I used to prefer ios over android but after this phone I won't be going back. I love this phone and it is amazing for movies, games and music.
Its amazing! with a really good display, brilliant, the camara its awesome, 1.5 Ghz dual-core processor! woow very fluit fast! windows 8 is good, althoought it a new OS its quite good, the whole phone its incredible :) and practically indestructive!
WOW after reading all these complaints I wonder why I get such good service. Had no problem transferring my number to Net10. I am on an easy minutes plan and I get my minutes on time every month. I really have no complaints about Net10.
People arent used to seeing nokia as a hero in the tech news these days, they resort to trolling to see nokia back at the bottom. The lumia 920 brings the best camera to the competition with pure view technology, the first image stability optics hardware whih offers the best lowlight quality pics for party and gig shots. The 920 offers FREE map and turn-by-turn navigation with NO COSTS for subscription and its completely offline. The pure motion HD + display offers superb sunlight viewing, a 334 pixel density (higher than iPhone 5) and the ONLY phone with 60 frames refresh for blur-free videos. Wireless charging can become mainstream through the lumia 920 as well. People say the 920 is heavy...185 g is nothing m
I closed my account with Sprint to go with Metro PCS. As a senior citizen Sprints prices are just over the edge. I'm on the $30 a month plan using the LG Motion and could not be more pleased. This plan does everything my wife and I could possibly want. I would highly recommend Metro PCS to anyone on a budget. Arn't we all!!! As far as customer service is there any phone company out there that you just love their customer Service!
I've had my GSIII for about 3 months now, and buying it is a decision I will never regret. The only things I see to be improved is the battery, I can get through the day with adjusted use, but I would like a little more than that. Other than that, I think this phone is the perfect Android phone for someone to use.
