I love this phone, calls do drop more often than my sister's galaxy s3
Coming from an LG G2x, this phone opened my eyes to the world of pure Android and top tier specs. No device is perfect, but this one is my absolute favorite.
This will be a really quick review.
Display: 4
- Love the unsaturated, natural looking colors.
- I notice vertical lines/patches when looking at grey colors. I only notice it them IF I look for them.
- The screen's so smooth, you won't want to use a screen protector. (Warning, as with all Gorilla 2 glass, it will get scratched. Keep it in a pouch (pockets can get sand/minerals/etc in them somehow)).
- I don't see ANY pixels at all.
Reception & Call Quality: 5
- Again, I'm not coming from a top tier spec'd device. The quality is great in terms of the ear piece and what the other side hears.
- Never got a dropped call unless the service is bad.
Battery life: 4
- It's been great, and I can get 3 hours of screen time purely on mobile data, 4+ hours on Wi-Fi. This is with 2 gmail accounts on sync, with one Google account syncing contacts, calendar, Chrome, and Google+, mobile network location on, brightness varying between auto and manually set on 40-%50%
- Battery life will always vary. While using the internet, of course, life will decrease faster if mobile data reception is poor.
Design / Form Factor: 4
- The design is simple, with a nice shape. It's different from straight edged bar shaped phones.
- Just wish the chrome was replaced with metal with a matte or smooth, non shiny finish.
- I wish the external speaker wasn't as sibilant and harsh at high volumes. It is indeed loud, but most of the audio feels like it's screeching in my ears.
Apps & Media Support: 4
- There's so many apps to look through. There will never be a time when I can't find something I want.
- Although unnecessary, flash support is gone. Unless you're into rooting/ROM flashing, you won't get that support anymore.
- Tip: Want to play FLAC files? Use Poweramp. It will allow you to play FLAC in the stock music player most likely. It did that for me at least.
great specs, and I love the screen size, it just the right size
Samsung Galaxy Note II is one of the best phones for android lovers, it has an amazing screen with Jelly Bean allowing huge amounts of software tweaks and tricks. The battery life is amazing, besides the fact that the huge screen and 4g capabilities consume a lot of power.
I love this phone and will always recommend it to friends.
After looking at all the factors and seeing all that Samsung has done to improve the original Galaxy Note, you can?t help but want to run out and grab this device.
I sell phones for a living, and I've seen a lot of people buy this for cash, no contact more than any other phone. Very impressive.
I have enjoyed use Note 2 for web, music, netflix and games. Works like a charm.
it's a power house. slick good looking phone .
Its just simply a perfect device for me!! i dnt even change it with the upcoming galaxy S4..waiting for note3..
Love the 720p display and the beautiful design over all of the phone. But it isn't the step up from Google that I expected.
Never really had one but my dad did and I've used it. Really cool phone I'd love to own one
With the renovated S pen and the 5.5 Super-Amoled HD display, to go with a 3100 MAH battery, this phablet is a must have for all media junkies.
I've been using this device for 1 week and am in Love with the fluidity and responsiveness of this amazing device!
Battery life on this device is fantastic.
Camera is great.
Bright Screen.
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
S-PEN Very easy to use.
I love this phone , I've tested it for a day and i got to say i would love to get this for myself.
Forget about Temple Run. THIS is the phone with the best camera and everything else. It makes your life easier! It is not over complicated or ugly-cated like Android. It is also not as boring as iOS. The hardware is simply refreshing.
The best phone I have ever had! Great and big display. Has android jellybean. Fast and easy to use. And a lot of great features on this phone.
