Do you miss the old Android blob emoji that Google got rid of with the Oreo update? If so, we've got some good news for you.

Google is bringing back its blob emoji as a sticker pack in Gboard and the Android Messages app. Named "The Blobs Live On", it includes lots of animated stickers, including smile faces, a sad face, a laughing face, and even an animated pile of poop.

The arrival of these blob emoji have a significance, as today just so happens to be World Emoji Day. These blob emoji characters are pretty polarizing, and so while some people were happy to see Google adopt more traditional emoji designs with the update to Android Oreo, there were some people that missed the blob emoji, too. It's unlikely that they'll ever make a full comeback, but now blob fans can enjoy these unique emoji using Gboard and Android Messages stickers.
