We regularly see companies release their custom Android apps into the Play Store to make it easier to push out updates for them, and today that’s exactly what OnePlus has done.
OnePlus Weather is now live on the Google Play Store. The app offers hourly and weekly forecasts along with info like humidity and UV levels, all sourced from AccuWeather. Also included are dynamic weather animations, support for multiple cities, and the ability to send weather updates by text, email, and social media.
It appears that this app is currently only compatible with OnePlus devices, as it’s showing “This app is incompatible with all of your devices” for me.
OnePlus already has its custom OnePlus Gallery app on the Play Store, and now it’s got OnePlus Weather on there, too. As I mentioned before, OnePlus has likely done this to make it easier to release updates for its weather app, relying on the Play Store rather than pushing out full OxygenOS firmware updates.
If you’ve got a OnePlus phone, what do you think of the OnePlus Weather app?
