Last month, a report suggested that Samsung might follow in the footsteps of competitors like Apple and HTC and launch the Galaxy S8 without a 3.5mm headphone jack. Now it sounds like that may not be the case.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to launch with a 3.5mm headphone jack in tow. That’s according to a report from Android Police, who spoke about the matter with a source that they say is reliable.
While not every manufacturer has opted to remove the 3.5mm headphone jack from their products, several notable companies have omitted the port from their flagship products, including Apple, HTC, and Moto. While all of this Galaxy S8 info is still unconfirmed, it’s certainly possible that Samsung could end up ditching the 3.5mm jack on its flagships, too. The good news is that it doesn’t sound like that’ll be the case, so if you’re interested in the GS8, that’s thing that you won’t have to worry about.
