If Apple’s announcement of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus has you thinking that it’s upgrade time, then you may want to check out the offer that T-Mobile just announced.
T-Mobile will offer the 32GB iPhone 7 for free when you trade in an iPhone 6, 6s, 6 Plus, or 6s Plus. If you’d like the iPhone 7 Plus, you can get the 32GB version of the phablet for $120. You can also step up to the 128GB or 256GB model of either phone for an extra $100 or $200, respectively.
This offer is open to new and existing customers, and it’ll be available for a limited time. T-Mo also notes that the iPhone that you trade in must be fully owned by you, must power on, can’t be water logged, and can’t have a shattered screen.
If you take advantage of this offer, you’ll need to agree to a 24-month finance agreement. However, each month you’ll see a credit on your bill to cancel out the monthly payment of the phone. If you decide to cancel service before the 24 months are up, you'll need to pay the remaining balance on your iPhone.
T-Mobile will begin taking pre-orders for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus at 12:01 am PT on Sept. 9, and Apple’s new phones will be available in stores starting Sept. 16. They’ll both be available with a 24-month finance agreement or on a JUMP! On Demand lease.
As for pricing, T-Mobile’s prices will mirror Apple’s. That means that the 32GB iPhone 7 will be $649 (around $27 per month) and the 32GB iPhone 7 Plus will be $769 (approximately $32 per month). The 128GB iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be $749 and $869, while the capacious 256GB iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will cost $849 and $969.
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will also be sold by MetroPCS starting on Sept. 23.
Along with the new iPhones, T-Mobile says that it’ll offer the new Apple Watch Series 2 smartwatches. Those new smartwatches will be available from T-Mobile.com starting Sept. 16.
Finally, T-Mobile announced a promo focused on its new T-Mobile One plan. Starting tomorrow, Sept. 8, you can sign up for the T-Mobile One plan and get four lines for $140 per month, which is $20 less per month than those lines would normally cost. This offer is good with any phone, not just Apple’s new iPhones.
