With its past few flagship smartphone launches, LG has trickled out details of its new device in the weeks ahead of its official launch. The LG V20 is no different.
After announcing that the LG V20 will be the first phone to launch with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, LG today revealed another feature of its next flagship. LG says that the V20 will be the first smartphone with a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC (digital to analog converter).
When the 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC is combined with compatible wired headphones, LG touts that the V20 will offer “a crisp and clear sound that comes closest to a live performance.” LG teamed up with ESS Technology on the V20’s Quad DAC after working with them on the 32-bit Hi-Fi DAC that’s in the LG V10.
LG has touted that the V20 will offer a high-end multimedia experience, so it’s no surprise that the Life’s Good crew will be building a quality DAC into its next flagship. LG will spill all of the V20’s spec list on September 6.
