It was just around a month and a half ago that Apple unleashed tvOS 9.1 to Apple TV owners, but the Cupertino firm already has another update ready to go.
Apple is now pushing tvOS 9.1.1 to its latest Apple TV. The update adds a notable feature to Apple’s set-top box in the form of a Podcasts app, which will let you easily listen to your subscribed podcasts using your fancy surround sound system or just your TV’s speakers. The update likely includes bug fixes and performance updates as well.
To install this update on your Apple TV, head into System and then hit Software Update.
The idea of listening to a podcast on your TV might sound kind of strange, but there are some instances in which you might want to do just that. Maybe you’ve got some nice surround speakers and you want to listen using them, or you want to use your TV’s speakers to listen to a podcast while keeping your ears open for other sounds instead of closing them off with headphones.
Apple is also currently testing a tvOS 9.2 update, but it’s not clear when that update will be pushed to the public.
