Verizon today beefed up its prepaid smartphone lineup with a new Android phone from LG, the Optimus Zone 3.
The LG Optimus Zone 3 is now available from Verizon for $69.99. In exchange for your hard-earned dollars, you’ll get an Android 5.1.1 smartphone with a 4.5-inch 854x480 display, quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor, 8GB of storage, a microSD slot for adding more storage, 1.5GB of RAM, and a removable 1940mAh battery. The Optimus Zone 3 also packs a 5-megapixel rear camera with flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter.
If you do decide to buy the Optimus Zone 3, you’ll have your choice of a few prepaid plans to pair it with. The base plan is priced at $30 and includes unlimited talk and text, but no cellular data, meaning you’ll need to stick to Wi-Fi for your data connection. There’s also a $45 plan that includes unlimited talk and text and 1GB of cellular data, and $60 plan that bumps the cellular data allotment to 3GB. Verizon also notes that if you enroll in autopay on the $45 or $60 plans, you can get a extra gigabyte of data each month.
