Two of the most powerful Android smartphones are going head to head. In this video, we’re going to give you seven reasons why the LG G Flex 2 is better than the Google Nexus 6 here on PhoneDog.

We have found seven reasons why the LG G Flex 2 is better than the Google Nexus 6. Now the first reason has to do with its size. The LG G Flex 2 is easier and more comfortable to hold in the hands than the Nexus 6 as it not only features a unique curved display that fits the curvature of your hand, it also features a smaller 5.5-inch display that is less obtrusive than the relatively large 5.96-inch display found on the Nexus 6.

The second reason has to do specifically with the curved display and just how durable it is. Now the reason why the LG G Flex 2 is named the LG G Flex is because, indeed, it is flexible. You can literally bend it flat against the surface and it will be completely fine, which is pretty incredible really. It also features a self-healing back cover that can heal some small scratches and scuffs, which is also pretty neat of itself. The Nexus 6 is built with more premium materials but it cannot flex. Do not try to scratch this device because it won’t heal itself. It just doesn’t have that self-healing back cover or coating on the back.

If you’re a spec head who needs the most powerful device though, you’re going to like reason number three: the LG G Flex 2 has the latest Snapdragon processor, the Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor that edges out the Nexus 6’s Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor. So basically to simplify things, it’s faster than the Nexus 6.

And if you’re a fan of expandable storage, the LG G Flex 2 is going to be a better option for you. It’s actually the only option as it features a microSD card slot for expandable storage up to 128GB whereas the Nexus 6 does not have a microSD card slot so you’re going to have to rely on either 32 or 64GB of internal storage.

Reason number five has to do with the camera. Now both smartphones are very similar in that they feature a 13MP camera sensor with OIS or Optical Image Stabilization. But the LG G Flex 2 edges out the Nexus 6 with the addition of laser autofocus sensor that allows it to lock onto subjects and just focus on subjects quicker and more accurately than the Nexus 6.

And remember when I talked about that fast processor in reason number three? The Snapdragon 810 processor is newer and more optimized than the Nexus 6’s processor, allowing it to require less power to run so battery life in return will last longer than the Nexus 6, even though the Nexus 6 does feature a larger 3220 mAh battery as opposed to the 3000 mAh battery found on the LG G Flex 2. The lower resolution display also does contribute to better battery life on the G Flex 2.

Now arguably, one of the best reasons why the LG G Flex 2 is better than the Nexus 6 has to do with its price. We don’t have all the details of the price from all the carriers just yet, since the G Flex 2 is so new. But Sprint is selling the G Flex 2 for $200 on-contract or $500 off-contract. To give you some comparison, the Nexus 6 starts at $649 off-contract so it’s certainly much more expensive than the LG G Flex 2 (for Sprint at least).
