Well, that didn’t take long.

Lollipop updates for both the HTC One (M8) Google Play edition and One (M7) GPe are rolling out to users, less than 12 hours after HTC announced that it had gotten approval for the updates from Google. What’s more, the updates that are going out bump the devices up to Android 5.0.1, just a few days after we first learned of the update.

After the HTC One GPe Lollipop updates hit a couple of delays, it’s great to see them both rolling out less than 12 hours after HTC announced that they’d been approved by Google. And even though HTC One GPe users had to wait a bit longer for the updates than originally expected, they’re still getting Lollipop before most other users.
