Remember Bing Torque, that Android Wear app that Microsoft launched in October to let users easily ask questions of Bing? Well today it got an update to work on phones, too.
The new app is now dubbed “Torque Search on Wear or Phone” and, as its name suggests, the app lets you use voice search for Bing on your Android Wear device or Android phone. To use Torque 2.0 on your phone, you simply shake your device and then say what you want to search for.
Torque 2.0 for Android phones is similar to Google’s “OK Google” hotword in that it lets you quickly access search on your phone, but the fact that Torque relies on you shaking your device rather than speaking makes it a tad different. Of course, you’ll use your voice for search, so Torque isn’t a totally silent search method.
Have you tried Torque Search on your Android Wear device or Android phone?
