I can't sleep, so I thought I'd take a moment to clear up any confusion regarding the timing of the live broadcasts of phonedogTV.
The show starts at midnight--at the end of Wednesday night, going into Thursday morning, GMT. That's Greenwich Mean Time. You can use this converter to figure out what time that is for you. Or, if you're not sure about that, read on and do it manually.
To find out how many hours you are ahead of or behind GMT, go to this site. It relies on the time zone configuration in the device you use to access the site, so make sure it's set correctly.
The page will say "Your Local Timezone = GMT + or - X:XX"
For example, if you live on the West Coast of the United States, it will say, "Your Local Timezone = GMT - 8:00"
So it's very easy to figure out when you should tune in, because the show starts at midnight, Wednesday night/Thursday morning. Just take that start time, 12:00 a.m., and add or subtract the number of hours difference between your time zone and GMT.
Here's how you would calculate based on the example above. 12:00 a.m., minus 8:00 equals 4:00 p.m. Therefore, phonedogTV starts at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, for those on the West Coast of the US. If your zone is GMT + X:XX, you'll be watching on Thursday. GadgetDog Daily starts 4 hours earlier.
I don't know if I just made things better or worse. But to the NSW Aussie from the phonedogTV chat room: you are GMT + 11:00, so the show is on for you at 11 a.m., Thursday. And I swear, everything I can find says the Northern Territory and South Australia are off from Western Australia, Queensland, NSW, Victoria, and Tasmania by 30-minute increments. Check it out. Maybe I wasn't clear about what I was asking you. Seriously though, that's worse than daylight savings time. Oh, wait... You guys do that too? No wonder you weren't sure when the show would be on. At least you've got the metric system.
