Did you listen to this week's podcast, Noah's Bark #7? If so, you heard Noah's list of his Fave Five cell phone TV commercials of all time. Watch 'em for yourself here and chime in: What'd he miss? What's in your five? Let us know in the comments (with links if you can find 'em).
1. T-Mobile "Pookie" Commerical with Charles Barkley and D-Wade
The series with The Chuckster and D-Wade is my all-time fave. I chose this one b/c I love it when Chuck says, "Pookie?" Cracks me up even still.
2. T- Mobile "Your Friends are Hot"
Classic. The dad's reaction makes it even better. SNL tried to play off of this in a skit once, but they took it way too far in an unfunny way. But the original still works.
3. AT&T "Sweet Pea" (Monkey in the Suitcase)
This one's sweet. What better use for picture messaging than to show your little girl all the cool places you took her favorite stuffed animal?
4. AT&T "Milky Minutes"
The mom's finger twitch at the end makes this one for me. I imitated it for weeks. Poorly.
5. Verizon "Can You Hear Me Now?"
In all honesty I can't stand these ads. Hate 'em. But they're classic - the line is stuck in our collective consciousness, which means it worked. This is a random sample from the bunch - all of which tie for #5 on my list.
