Next week is going to be a big one for iOS fans thanks to the launch of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, but now it looks like it’ll be a good week for Android fans as well.
Motorola has announced that it’ll begin accepting preorders for the AT&T Moto X, Moto X - Pure Edition, Moto Hint and Motorola Turbo Charger on Tuesday, September 16. Motorola also plans to offer limited quantities of the Moto 360 on Tuesday.
Consumers interested in the new Moto X will be able to customize their device with Moto Maker, which has been enhanced for the refreshed X. Moto Maker will now include leather and wood finishes, a new “photo-realistic” rendering engine that’ll help you get a better idea of what your personalized phone will look like and new tools that’ll allow you to compare multiple designs side-by-side and start with looks created by designers.
Motorola says that the AT&T version of the new Moto X will be available on Tuesday along with the Moto X - Pure Edition, which will come SIM unlocked and include an unlockable bootloader for $499.99. As for other operators, Moto says that we’ll hear more from additional US carriers and partners “around the globe” soon.
