When Google first announced Android Wear back in March, it named ASUS as one of the platform’s partners. We haven’t heard anything about an ASUS Android Wear product since, but that could change next month.
ASUS today teased that “something incredible is going to happen at IFA 2014.” The company attached an image to its teaser that includes something square with rounded corners and the quote “Time has been transformed, and we have changed.” ASUS’s IFA event is scheduled for Sept. 3.
Unsurprisingly, it looks like ASUS is going to make us wait until Sept. 3 before it shares any official details of whatever it’s teasing. The rumor mill has already spit out some possible details on ASUS’s Android Wear device, though, with one report claiming that the wearable will feature an AMOLED display and a price tag around $99 and $149. Obviously those details are still unofficial, but if ASUS is able to hit either of those price points, its smartwatch will be quite a bit cheaper than the other Android Wear devices that are currently available.
What features do you hope to see included with ASUS’s Android Wear device?
