The iPhone 6 is likely scheduled to debut at an event on September 9, but as is usually the case with highly-anticipated smartphones, the rumor mill isn’t going to make us wait that long to see Apple’s next handset.
Some new images that claim to show the front of the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 have been posted to Taiwanese site AppleClub. The shows show both the front and back of the iPhone 6, and overall the part looks similar to the iPhone 6 front plates that’ve leaked in the past. Theres the camera, sensor and earpiece holes up top, a round hole at the bottom for the home button and a big ol’ rectangle in the middle for the 4.7-inch screen. We can also see that the edges of the front panel are round like in previous leaks.
While the iPhone 6 is expected to maintain the 16:9 resolution of the iPhone 5s, the screen on the iPhone 6 is expected to grow larger and also increase in vertical resolution. A rumor from earlier this year claimed that Apple is testing iPhone models with display resolutions of 1704x960. Of course, this is all speculation for now, but the good news is that we’re less than a month from all being revealed.
