Earlier this month, Spotify updated its desktop and iOS apps with a darker theme, Your Music collection, improved Browse feature and more. Now its time for Android users to enjoy the same refreshed app.
Spotify has announced that, starting today, it’s pushing an update to its Android app that brings with several major new features. The first is a major user interface overhaul that includes a dark theme, new typography and rounded iconography.
The second big feature that’s rolling out with this new Spotify update is Your Music. Just like it sounds, Your Music allows you to save songs and albums to make it easier to listen to them in the future.
Finally, Spotify says that it’s improved its Browse feature, which helps users find music to listen to based on the mood that they’re in.
Overall this new Spotify update looks like a huge upgrade over the previous version. Not only does the app look better, but the new Your Music feature ought to make it much easier for users to bookmark tunes compared to the old Playlist method of saving music.
Spotify says that the update will begin going out today and will hit all Android users in the coming weeks. You can find Spotify in the Play Store right here.
