Been waiting on pins and needles for Dong Nguyen's decision on whether or not he'll bring Flappy Bird back to the App Store and Google Play? Well wonder no more, my flappy friend, because Nguyen has revealed his plans on Twitter.
In response to a question regarding whether or not Flappy Bird would ever be available in the iOS App Store again, Nguyen said that yes, the game will eventually make its return to the store's virtual shelves. Unfortunately, it may be a while before we're able to get our flap on once again, as Nguyen says that Flappy Bird will not be relaunching any time soon.
Nguyen recently revealed in an interview that during Flappy Bird's time in the App Store and Google Play, he was receiving criticism and attacks from players and that his parents were concerned about his health. Eventually he decided to yank the game in order to show that he was able to control his own fate.
Now it looks like those folks that missed out on their opportunity to play Flappy Bird before will be able to find out what all the fuss was about after all. It's not known why Nguyen has decided to reverse course and put Flappy Bird back online, but perhaps he's decided that now that he's got his message out there and people know how poorly he was treated, things will be different the second time around.
@painfullpacman Yes. But not soon.
