Earlier this month, the AT&T-branded HTC One X+ began receiving its update to Android 4.2.2 and Sense 5.0, which we recently learned is the last major update that it'll get. Now it looks like the HTC One X is about get the same treatment.
HTC executive Mohammad Versi took to Twitter tonight to announce that the AT&T One X's update to Android 4.2.2 and Sense 5.0 has received technical acceptance. The update is slated to begin rolling out this Wednesday, Jan. 29.
Neither AT&T nor HTC have posted any support documents for this update quite yet, so it's not yet clear exactly what goodies this update might pack besides the bumps up to Android 4.2.2 and Sense 5.0. We do know that the One X+'s recent update brought with it some performance enhancements along with some assorted bug fixes, though, and so I wouldn't be surprised if the One X's changelog turned out to be fairly similar. Until we hear more, you One X owners can mosey on down to the comments section and start doing your happy dance.
