After originally launching on Sept. 20, the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c have made their way onto the shelves of many more carriers around the globe, including Virgin Mobile and U.S. Cellular in the U.S. Soon we'll be able to add two more operators to that list, as both Straight Talk and Net10 Wireless have announced that they will begin selling the iPhone 5s and 5c on Dec. 13. Here's how the pricing and availability for each model will break down:
On the rate plan side of things, Straight Talk offers a $45 per month plan that includes unlimited talk, text and data (2.5GB of high-speed data usage) as well as a $60 plan that tacks on unlimited international calling. Net10 offers Friends and Family plans that start at $50 for unlimited talk, text and data (again, 2.5GB of high-speed usage) and $40 for each additional line.
It's always good to see smartphones make their way onto new carriers, especially when it comes to flagship models like Apple's iPhone. It's also worth noting that while both operators are selling these iPhones at full retail price, Walmart is offering an in-store financing promo through Dec. 31 that will allow qualified customers to purchase a device with a Walmart Credit Card and then pay it off with no interest. Consumers will have 24 months to pay off a device that's $599 or higher without incurring interest, or 18 months on products ranging from $429 to $598.99.
