It's starting to look like Samsung might have a thing for red gadgets. After giving the Galaxy S III, Galaxy Note II and Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 some fresh red paint jobs, Samsung today announced that the Galaxy Note 10.1 is getting the same treatment. The Garnet Red Galaxy Note 10.1 is officially official and just in time for Valentine's Day, with three carriers in South Korea set to offer the tablet in time for the holiday. The translated announcement also mentions that the red Note 10.1 will roll out to other markets around the globe later on, but no other details on those launches are mentioned.
With all of the other Galaxy-branded hardware that Samsung has opted to paint red, it's not entirely surprising to see the company douse the Note 10.1 and its S Pen in some red dye as well. After all, Samsung has shown on several occasions that it's not afraid to refresh a product with a new paint job, and it seems as though red might be one of the firm's new favorite colors. Can't say I blame it. Unfortunately for all of us in the U.S. that share Samsung's affinity for red, it's not yet clear if we'll see our own LTE-flavored red Note 10.1. With a launch taking place just before Mobile World Congress, though, Samsung could opt to bring its new tablet to Barcelona and share some more information about it there. Stay tuned.
