Remember that RadioShack-branded Cricket MVNO that we first got wind of earlier this month? According to a new image sent to Engadget, the service may be going live in just a couple of weeks. Dubbed "RadioShack No Contract Wireless," or "RadioShack No Contract Wireless powered by Cricket" if you're not into the whole brevity thing, the new MVNO is reportedly slated to be introduced on September 5. There aren't a ton of details about the service itself that are known just yet, but today's leak does reveal that at least some of the devices that'll be available will feature Muve Music, which offers unlimited song downloads, ringback tones and ringtones. All of the Muve Music phones in RadioShack No Contract's roster will pack an 8GB microSD card.
When it comes to actual hardware, the previous RadioShack No Contract Wireless leak claimed that the selection will include devices like the HTC One V, Huawei Mercury and a mysterious 4.3-inch handset from Alcatel. That doesn't sound like a bad batch of handsets for a no contract service to have, and while it's not yet clear how much the devices will cost, the rumor that they may be coming to RNCW's shelves is enough to get us interested in RadioShack's plans. Now we just have to clear a little room on our already-packed schedule for September 5. More on this as we get it.
