Hot on the heels of ASUS releasing a new update for the Transformer Pad TF300, the company today made available another piece of software that many owners of the TF300 will be interested in. ASUS has released an app to unlock the bootloader on the Transformer Pad TF300, available as a simple .apk that can be downloaded from ASUS's website. Once you install the Unlock Device App and check box that says you know what you're getting yourself into, you'll be able to unlock the bootloader on your TF300 and begin tinkering to your heart's content.
The Transformer Pad TF300 isn't the first ASUS-made Transformer slate to receive a bootloader unlock tool, and it's good to see the company continue to provide the tools necessary to unlock the bootloaders some of their products for people that want to get their hands dirty and really fiddle with their devices. It's worth noting that unlocking your TF300's bootloader will void your original warranty, so you should only use the tool if you're sure that you know what you're doing.
