Today's the day, HTC Sensation 4G owners. Just like we heard earlier this week, the Sensation 4G's Android 4.0 update will be made available starting today. Along with a bump to Ice Cream Sandwich, Sensation 4G owners can expect to receive Sense 3.6 as well as improved battery life and text input, among other things. If you've got a Sensation 4G kicking around, you can check for the update by going into Menu > Settings > About phone > HTC software updates > Check. Here's how T-Mobile's changelog for the update looks:
Android 4.0.3 / Software version 3.32.531.14710RD
Approved 5/16/2012
New Features
Improvements
There's also some new information concerning the HTC Amaze 4G and its Ice Cream Sandwich update. T-Mobile has announced that the Amaze 4G's Android 4.0 update will be available beginning May 21st. The Amaze 4G's update packs a similar set of changes as the Sensation's, meaning Amaze folk can also expect goodies like Sense 3.6 and better battery life.
So there's some good news for both Sensation 4G and Amaze 4G owners this morning. HTC has provided us with a few updates on its Android 4.0 rollout plans in recent months, but it's good to see some more upgrades actually taking place for U.S. devices. Sensation 4G owners, be sure to give us a shout in the comments below once the ICS update makes its way to your neck of the woods!
