HTCSense.com originally made its debut back in late 2010 as a place for users to do things like locate and wipe their devices and sync data like contacts and messages. After around a year and a half on the scene, though, HTC has decided to give its service a makeover, and in the process its shutting down the features offered to users. The good news is that folks that have data stored on HTCSense.com have until April 30th to download all their information in a handy .zip file in a process that simply involves signing into the HTCSense.com website and clicking a "Download" button. Once April 30th rolls around, HTC will delete the user data it has stored.

As for what HTC has up its sleeve next, well, we'll just have to wait and see, as the company doesn't mention what we'll see from HTCSense.com next. If you need some backup or phone location services in the mean time, though, HTC recommends you hit up the Google Play Store to search for an app that suits your needs.
