It was just a couple of days ago that we learned that the Motorola DROID X2 would soon be receiving an update, but the new software has already been detailed by Verizon. The update will bring users to software version 1.3.418.MB870.Verizon.en.US and weighs in at 35MB. So what kinds of goodies does it pack in? Here's the changelog from Verizon's support page:
Fixes & Enhancements:
Looks like a pretty small maintenance update. That's not a bad thing, though, as we're of the belief that any update is a good one as long as it doesn't end up borking something that worked fine previously. We've yet to get word from Motorola or Verizon on when this new software will begin making its way to DROID X2s everywhere, but if you don't want to wait and try to pull it down manually, you can do so by heading into Menu > Settings > About phone > System updates. Give us a shout in the comments below once you get the update installed, DROID X2 folk!
