The Samsung Epic 4G's road to Gingerbread has been one fraught with leaks and rumors, but it looks like that road may finally be coming to an end. According to a dicument leaked to Android Central, the Epic 4G's Android 2.3 update should begin rolling out tomorrow, with around 3 percent of users expected to get the new software on day one in order to avoid any major issues. The update, which will likely be build number EI22, will then continue to be pushed to more and more users over the next 8 days until it reaches all Epic 4G owners. Alongside the usual Gingerbread goodness, the EI22 update is said to include the following improvements:
It's kind of a bummer that the Epic 4G will finally be getting bumped up to Gingerbread just as we're about to see Ice Cream Sandwich unleashed upon the world, but we're mostly just happy to see that 2.3 is very nearly here for all of the patient Epic owners out there.
