And the Apple rumor train keeps chugging along this morning, this time with a report about the iPhone 5. According to a "high-level AT&T source" speaking to BGR, AT&T's vice president has told several employees that the next iPhone will be launching in early October. Additionally, the executive reportedly told a group of the carrier's managers to "expect things to get really, really busy in the next 35-50 days" and that they should "prepare [their] teams accordingly."
This report falls in line with one from earlier this month claiming that the next iPhone will be launching in October, not September like many had originally thought. As with most Apple rumors, though, it's probably wise to take this news with a grain or two of your favorite salt for now. After all, nothing's official until it's official. When do you all think Apple will finally unleash the iPhone 5? Are you placing your bets on early October or are you still hoping for a September launch?
UPDATE: Adding fuel to the early October fire, The Loop's frequently accurate Jim Dalrymple responded to this rumor with a one-word response: "Yep."
