When Research In Motion unveiled the BlackBerry PlayBook, just about everything we wanted to know about the tablet except, of course, release date and pricing. While we still don't have that information for you (Sorry!), a couple more details about the PlayBook have come to light. At the Gulf Information Technology Exhibition, RIM co-CEO Jim Balsillie gave a keynote, which you can watch below, that listed out specs for the tablet in a plain, easy-to-read fashion. As you can see the PlayBook will come in a 64GB flavor along with the 16GB and 32GB models and will sport a 5300 mAh battery.
Considering that the PlayBook won't sport a microSD card slot like Samsung's Galaxy Tab, it's probably a good idea for RIM to give customers several choices when it comes to storage. The 64GB option is a great inclusion, as it should definitely entice users that are interested in consuming some media after knocking out their emails and presentations. The BlackBerry PlayBook is increasingly becoming an interesting choice when it comes to selecting a new tablet. Now we just need the all-important release and pricing info. How about it, RIM?
