We've seen the Motorola CHARM in T-Mobile's advertising and website quite a bit lately, but we've never been able to figure out when the darn thing was going to launch. T-Mobile finally let the cat out of the bag today, tweeting that the CHARM would be available on August 25th, precisely one week from today, for an "affordable" price. Motorola posted the info on its Facebook page, as well, but they kind enough to give a price: $74.99 after mail-in rebate with a two-year contract. As a quick refresher, the CHARM will be running Android 2.1 beneath MOTOBLUR on a 2.1-inch touchscreen at a resolution of 320x280 and will sport a 3 megapixel camera.
I don't know about you, but I'm glad to see that T-Mobile has announced the CHARM's release date. Motorola continues their trend of unique phone design with the CHARM, as it's the first Android phone in a portrait QWERTY, BlackBerry-esque form factor. The fact that it is like a BlackBerry should tempt many customers looking for that particular form factor with a robust, social-centric Android OS beneath Motorola's MOTOBLUR skin. So now that we have the CHARM's release date, are any of you planning on picking up the device in a week?
