Wait for it...wait for it...OH! Another Android phone is now slated for Verizon, and this time, it's the Iron Man 2 phone. The boys over at BGR got their hands on some goodies revealing that the LG Ally will be available for pre-order on May 13th, and will be available in every channel by May 20th.
The Ally is an entry level smartphone that is meant to stand up against the Motorola Devour with its slide-out full QWERTY keyboard and 3.2 MP camera. Not only will the Ally be able to contend the Devour with its Android 2.1, but with the much slimmer design as well.
The specs we had listed in an earlier post about the Ally were incorrect. Unfortunately, it will not carry the 1GHz processor that we all love (a slightly less desirable 600MHz processor, actually), nor will it have a 5.0MP camera. It will also have LG's custom theme, Socialite, with its own social widgets to sport on your five homescreens.
Here are some of the specs listed for the Ally:
- 800/1900 MHz CDMA, EVDO Rev A
- MSM7627, 600MHz processor
