Needless to say, it's quite the deal; instead of paying for your phone and a $60 broadband card each month, you could get the Pre Plus and save the $60). What's more, I'd venture to guess that the offer will bring people over to the webOS side (with the proper marketing).
Verizon's official statement is as follows:
"Customers who purchase or upgrade to a Palm Pre and Palm Pixi will get the Mobile Hotspot for free. Existing customers who already have the service will find charges on their next bill will be $0.00."
What's more, the Pre Plus and Pixi Plus have dropped to $49.99 and $29.99, respectively. Add that to the ongoing buy one, get one free offer, and you have quite the deal on your hands.
