One day after updating another one of its Nokia phones to Android 10, HMD Global has unveiled its Android 11 update roadmap.
HMD says that it's aiming to upgrade 14 of its current Nokia phones to Android 11. The updates will start soon, with the Nokia 8.3 5G, Nokia 2.2, Nokia 5.3, and Nokia 8.1 all slated to be get their Android 11 upgrades in Q4 2020.
Q1 2020 will bring updates for the Nokia 1.3, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 2.4, Nokia 2.3, and Nokia 3.4. Then a little bit later in-between Q1 and Q2 2021, HMD says we can expect Android 11 updates for the Nokia 3.2, Nokia 7.2, and Nokia 6.2.
Finally, the Nokia 1 Plus and Nokia 9 PureView are slated to get their Android 11 upgrades in Q2 2021.
Whenever Google launches a new version of Android, one of the most popular questions from non-Pixel device owners is "When will my phone get this update?" Now owners of these 14 Nokia phones know not only that they will be getting an Android 11 update, but approximately when it'll be pushed to them to. Good on HMD for being transparent and forthcoming about this info with its customers.
