The OnePlus Buds are already some of the most affordable truly wireless earbuds on the market, but OnePlus could be prepping an even lower-cost pair.
Recent leaks have hinted at the "OnePlus Buds Z" as a new pair of earbuds coming from OnePlus. Max J., who has been the source of several OnePlus leaks in the past, today posted an image that reads "BudZ" to Twitter.

Meanwhile, the folks at XDA-Developers recently spotted a reference to the OnePlus Buds Z in an OxygenOS 11 beta release. In it is a tuning profile referred to as "oneplus_bluetooth_BudsZ", which is separate from the tuning profile for the regular "oneplus_bluetoothBuds".
No other details about the OnePlus Buds Z are available right now, but OnePlus previous headphone releases suggest that the Buds Z could be a lower-cost version of the regular Buds. OnePlus previously launched the Bullets Wireless 2 earphones for $99 and then followed them up with the Bullets Wireless Z at a price of $49.95.
The OnePlus Buds are priced at $79.00, so if the OnePlus Buds Z could be some seriously low-cost truly wireless earbuds. The OnePlus Buds Z may have to sacrifice some features to achieve a lower price, but they could be a solid option for folks who just want a cheap pair of truly wireless earbuds that wouldn't cause a big deal if they're lost or damaged.
