HTC may not be as active in the Android market as it used to be, but the company is still churning out new phones and today we're getting an early look at its next device.

The HTC Wildfire E Lite has been revealed in newly leaked images from Evan Blass. The phone has fairly large bezels at the top and bottom of the screen, and around back we can see a dual camera setup and a fingerprint reader.

When it comes to specs, a device with the name "Wildfire_E_Lite" appeared in the Google Play Console last month with specs that include a 1440x720 display resolution, quad-core MediaTek Helio A20 processor, 2GB of RAM, and Android 10. So this is definitely looking like the type of entry-level phone you'd expected from an HTC Wildfire device.

We can see on this HTC Wildfire E Lite's lockscreen that the date is "August 20", which could be a hint at when HTC was planning to announce it. The phone doesn't appear to be have been officially revealed by HTC anywhere in the world yet, though, possibly because the timing could be bad for HTC to announce a new phone called "Wildfire" while fires are burning along much of the west coast of the US.
