March Madness is starting soon, and there's some good news today for college basketball fans who plan on streaming the action on their set-top box.
Android TV and Amazon Fire TV users will be able to stream two games at once for the first time this year (via Engadget). The feature was previously only available on Apple TV, but now Android TV and Fire TV users will have the ability to stream two games at once "during certain windows" of the tournament.
Apple TV customers can stream up to four games at once, so this isn't exactly feature parity, but it's still nice to see Android TV and Fire TV users finally get the multi-game streaming support.
Another new feature this year is called The Catch-Up. As its name suggests, the show will give you a "succinct summary" of key plays or moments that happened before you started watching the live stream coverage.
Fast Break is another show that March Madness fans can enjoy. In its third year of existence, Fast Break will give you an all-encompassing look at the tournament from a single location. This includes highlights, real-time analysis, social reaction, and commentary for all games.
Bracket integration will help you keep track of how well your bracket is doing. If you fill out your bracket through the official Capital One NCAA March Madness Bracket Challenge, you'll get reminders of the outcomes that you predicted so you know exactly how your bracket stands and who you should be rooting for.
Google Assistant support is another new feature for this year. Both Google's Assistant and Alexa can get you the latest info about your bracket picks and stream live radio broadcasts for games. Smart display devices with Google Assistant or Alexa will be able to show on-demand highlights, too.
