T-Mobile has become known for its Un-carrier moves in recent years, making big announcements that have resulted in changes across the U.S. wireless industry. Now T-Mo is ready to make its next Un-carrier move.
T-Mobile CEO John Legere today teased that an Un-carrier announcement will happen on November 7th. As noted by TmoNews, Legere described this move as "New T-Mobile Un-carrier 1.0." That's notable because T-Mobile has made 15 Un-carrier moves to date, but this will be the first move of the "New T-Mobile", which is how T-Mo has been describing what it will be after the T-Mobile-Sprint merger is completed.
Unsurprisingly, Legere didn't want to spill much info about exactly what T-Mobile is planning to announce, saying only that T-Mo will share some of its "plans and commitments for the future."
“We’ve spent the better part of the last seven years changing wireless for good, and with the network capabilities of the new T-Mobile, we’re going to take Un-carrier to an entirely new level,” Legere teased during the company's Q3 2019 earnings call. “So, I think it’s time we start sharing some of what we mean by ‘next level.'”
