The Samsung Galaxy Fold is finally launching in the U.S. later this week.
Samsung today confirmed that the Galaxy Fold will be available in the U.S. starting September 27. It'll be available at select AT&T stores as well as select Best Buy and Samsung Experience Store locations.
The Galaxy Fold will be available in two versions: an AT&T model and an unlocked version. You'll be able to buy the unlocked Galaxy Fold at Best Buy and Samsung stores.
Pricing for the Samsung Galaxy Fold will be set at $1,980.
Originally slated to launch back in April, the Galaxy Fold was hit with a delay after some review units had issues with the internal display. In the months since then, Samsung has made design improvements aimed at addressing those issues, like extending the top protective layer beyond the bezel so that it doesn't look like a screen protector that you're meant to peel off. Samsung has also added caps to the top and bottom of the hinge to fight against dust and other particles getting inside the Fold.
Samsung is also adding Galaxy Fold Premier Service to each device sold. With it, you can contact a dedicated "Fold Concierge" at Samsung who will walk you through the Galaxy Fold and its included accessories and show you how to use the Galaxy Fold and its features. You can also reach out to a Galaxy Fold support rep at "any hour of any day" using a dedicated toll-free number if you need support.
