The OnePlus 8T may be getting a lot of attention lately because it's OnePlus's latest piece of smartphone kit, but the company is now showing some love to the OnePlus 8 series that launched earlier this year.
The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro are receiving an update to OxygenOS 11.0.1.1. This update includes the October 2020 Android security patches, optimizes the phones' adaptive brightness algorithm, and optimizes their Wi-Fi connection for improved connectivity.
One of the big features of this new update is a Canvas feature for the always-on display that'll automatically draw a wireframe picture based on your phone's lock screen photo. After updating, just go to Settings > "Customization" > "Wallpaper" > "Canvas" > "Choose photo preview" to get a fun new look for your always-on display.

This update is rolling out in incrementally, so not everyone with a OnePlus 8 or 8 Pro will get it right now. After it's hit a small number of users and OnePlus has confirmed that everything is working as it should, a wider rollout will commence.
